Completed all the legendary races in Forza Horizon 6 today. Still have a lot of the Discover Japan missions to complete, which I am looking forward to. I’ve really enjoyed the game but it really does feel like more of the same - not sure what a racing game can do to change it up tbh.

I caved and purchased 007 First Light. Opening mission was very good, theme song is fantastic - makes it feel like a proper Bond entry. I really like the idea of a more linear, narrative driven, hitman type game.

*Almost* at the end of my Curb Your Enthusiasm watch. Great show, love Susie and Leon as characters. The theme tune is killing me at this stage.

I’m really enjoying Ghost of Yotei, such a beautiful game. Japan just shines in it and the open zones rather than one huge open world works brilliantly. Compared to AC Shadows it’s a pleasure to play and travel the world.

How is the Curling still on? How have M&S messed up their Chicken Arrabiata so much? How is that nonce still 8th in line?

I love the Olympics (Winter and Summer). Seeing all these random sports that you never hear of 47 months out of 48. I wish the BBC would concentrate less on Curling - I understand it’s a medal op for GBR but there are so many other sports not highlighted.

Reading took a major back seat for me this year. I’ve been reading again the last few days and think I’ll read a lot more in 2026.

As usual when I have some time off work to play games there’s absolutely nothing that scratches the itch of what I want to play. So many good games, none of them good enough to engage my brain right now.

Played through the Pragmata demo and thought it was great. Gave real Vanquish vibes - although with a hacking child on your back! Looked really impressive as well, will be an interesting Switch 2 game to see - I think I will play on PC.

The Pragmata demo certainly likes to compile those shaders.
