One of my highlights of recent years was when Ian Whates of the Newcon Press asked me to round up three Memory Seed short stories, and write three more. This was a wonderful opportunity to return to the city of Kray.

Later thoughts on Memory Seed, whose theme was much inspired by James Lovelock.

I love maps. This is the original 1992 map of the city of Kray, in which Memory Seed takes place. I still have it, carefully packed away.

Eleven years ago I went for a nostalgic ramble around Virginia Water & Windsor Great Park, which was where I went for walks in the 1980s and 1990s and dreamed up the whole Memory Seed concept. Here's my blog of that time.

30 years ago today I became a published author. It was an amazing stroke of luck. That event set the direction of my life. I feel lucky and grateful to all the people in publishing with whom I have worked, especially on Memory Seed.
