Funding cuts from SOLAS have led to layoffs of adult educators in ETBs. These cuts don’t just take away jobs—they take away essential educational opportunities for the most vulnerable of FET learners: adults with literacy needs, adults with additional learning needs and ESOL learners.

Helen Whyte of Co Clare Branch condemns the proposed removal of Practical Skills Assessment in LC Engineering as a regressive and illogical step. It is unacceptable that a subject rooted in hands-on skills when Senior Cycle reforms claim to prioritise meaningful, skills-based evaluation. #TUI26
