Sleep has fixed my shoulder, now I have to figure out what to draw

Of course the day before I plan to get back into drawing, my shoulder just kinda gives out on me. I can’t like, raise my elbow past 45° in any direction. Literally started in the middle of the day too without doing anything like carrying something

I wanted to take some comms or even do some sketching this week, but I’m so beat. I think for my mental health I’m just gonna give myself a real break for the rest of the week

For Ausmusic Month I’m gonna finally get around to doing a Nick Cave marathon, listening to all the Bad Seeds (and related) albums in order.

I generally hate circlejerk subreddits because 99% the time it’s just making fun of entirely normal and mild fan behaviour. But every now and then the vinyljerk subreddit will appear in my recommended, reposting the most insane way someone can fuck up handling a record.

Cherry on top of everything is that my computer crashed while I was doing a little drawing for fun and the file got corrupted

I'm at a really weird place with drawing atm. Everything is just taking forever, but it doesn't feel like it. I'll be drawing, feeling good, thinking "oh yeah, I'm at the pace I want to be at again" and then it's been 2 hours and I've only just sketched out the face.

huge pet peeve of mine is like, disturbing inherent video/TV broadcast YouTubers put a VHS filter over 20 year old videos to make them look "old" and "creepy". The fact that the videos were recorded on old SD cameras makes them look old and creepy.

It annoys me that Apple definitely has the ability to make really good hifi gear, like proper audiophile stuff, but being general consumer and aesthetic first will make sure that never happens.

Ok, probably won’t get the comms done by today. Definitely by the end of the weekend. I think for now I should at least double my estimated turnaround. I just haven’t been good the past few weeks

You can tell when someone draws porn of a character with love. And it’s not by them drawing the characters with the “correct proportions”. It’s in the expression and attitude. You can draw Pearl Steven Universe with tits bigger than her head, but if you love her it’ll still feel true to her.

Very tentative about this, but I might open for a painted sketch later this week. Still gotta finish one from last week, but the forecast for the next few days is cold and rainy. That has, and should continue to, help with my hayfever, which really drags me down.

Man, I like, prefer listening to podcasts while I draw, but listening to King Gizzard makes me draw faster and better. It's like, feel locked in but not at my best, or feel a little under stimulated but actually be at my peak

I love the sketch comms, but I should also bring back the really rough $15 ones, the ones I can get done in like 20-30 mins
