Today's sightings featured 22+ Bee-eaters vanishing high over Easington Straight (1 later perched at The Point), Turtle Doves still at The Point and Grange Farm, 2 Spoonbills south from Kilnsea Wetlands and the local rarity of Large Red Damselfly in Sykes Field.

On Mallorca till Saturday so was amazing to watch Scopolis and ‘Med’ Shears 200 metres off beach. In good light and viewing conditions some had obvious extensive white fingers but several/most were difficult to judge and more Cory’s like in pattern.

G8 couple of days up in

btwn Ruddons n West Wemyss. Some nice totals of 1350 Eiders and 900 Velvet Scoter but just 9 Slav and single RN Grebe + low numbers of LT Ducks and RBMs. Best putative drake Stejnegers Scoter, drake WW Scoter and 3 WB Divers!
