if you haven’t read the Witcher books yet then you definitely should because then you’d know Ciri BEEN the one since rolling with The Rats

playing Witcher 1 is so dope after reading the books because you get to physically see all the characters you read about and grew to love enhances the experience exponentially

I’ve been told for months to skip KCD1 and watch a recap before playing KCD2 because the gameplay is bad so I decided to finally look it up for myself and… it’s just oblivion???

crystals, heroes of light, phoenix downs, a job system — this game is a glorified final fantasy spinoff and it’s absolutely incredible.

I’ve been playing South of Midnight and really enjoying it. Artistically unique and beautiful, great music, and lots of fun. really surprised it’s not talked about more!

I finally beat Ghost of Tsushima a very interesting experience. combat was a lot of fun. switching stances while battling off different types of warriors is exhilarating. story was predictable and the gameplay loop was extremely repetitive. didn’t love it. didn’t hate it. 7/10

my thoughts? stop calling them JRPGs ARPG (action), TRPG (tactical), SRPG (strategy), CRPG (computer). stop calling them JRPGs and just call them TBRPG (turn-based). from there you can discuss everything else you love about the game.
