🎮 2026 Game #99: Emuurom Love the concept here and the aesthetic of the game world and all the creatures, but it's just tedious to play. Traversing the world requires constant hidden tunnels and weird jumps and the in-game map is not really that helpful. I wish I liked it more. 4/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #98: Super Battle Golf Very fun game to play with friends. Wish it had some more items/stage variety, but there's a surprising amount of strategy here for what is effectively a game about sabotaging your friends. Many laughs were had, will definitely play more. 7.5/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #97: Mach Rider Cool presentation but oh my god you die literally seconds into each level to either some random barrel in the road, oil slick, or suicide bombers barreling into you from behind. It's fun to go fast and the music is cool, but it's just frustrating to play. 3/10 #NES

🎮 2026 Game #96: Mario Bros. Charming, but ultimately very basic arcade port that starts looping a bit too early. Would have been nice to have a bit more enemy variety and maybe a less floaty jump. For its time though, it's decently fun. 5/10 #NES

🎮 2026 Game #95: Echo Isle Super cute little Zelda-like! Simple in its design and not a very long experience, but one I had a great time with. Controls well, has some good pixel art and retro music, and a handful of fun abilities to use too. Recommended for genre fans. 7/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #94: Donkey Kong Jr. Math I can see the vision, especially if you play it just for multiplayer, but it's pretty bad. The singleplayer math exercise mode is poorly designed and hard to control and the overall game is just sluggish and boring to play. DK did not deserve this. 2/10 #NES

🎮 2026 Game #93: Donkey Kong 3 Even more of a genre shift than Jr, now we're a shooter somehow and I'm not sure how to feel. It controls well, has some decent enemy variety, and overall plays fine for an NES game, but as a DK game I don't think it is particularly great. 5/10 #NES

🎮 2026 Game #92: Donkey Kong Jr. I liked the first game more, but this one is actually not that bad. Controls well and has some fun level design. I wish it were a bit more challenging, but it's a nice twist to the original DK formula and worth a play if you liked that one at all. 6/10 #NES

🎮 2026 Game #91: Donkey Kong: Original Edition Yup, it's Donkey Kong alright. Definitely better than the NES original due to the addition of the missing stage. Still fun to play today, nothing else really to it. 6.5/10 #NES

🎮 2026 Game #90: Zero Parades: For Dead Spies Very engaging spy thriller, even if a bit overly dense at times. Loved the art, music, story, and especially the voice acting. It's one of the few in the genre where I felt compelled to complete as much side content as possible. Recommended! 7.5/10

I hosted a SWAMP POTLUCK for my friends to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original Shrek movie. It was very swampy!! 😅 We held a blind ballot to determine the swampiest food, and the winner got a Shrek Buddha!! My swamp pizza did not win unfortunately 😭😭

🎮 2026 Game #89: R-Type Dimensions III Iffy port of a decent game. Deeply unfair gameplay made worse by some weird hitboxes and frustrating balancing. Has its fair share of bugs, mostly audio. The game itself looks great, runs well, and the music is excellent, it just needs a bit more work. 4.5/10

🎮 2026 Game #88: Blippo+ Absolutely love the concept and aesthetic here. Probably one of the most unique games I have ever played (even if the "gameplay" is limited). That said, not all the content lands and the ending was a bit disappointing. Still enjoyed it though! 6/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #87: Excitebike Actually really solid core gameplay, but the AI can be frustrating and the controls are not quite as polished as they could be. It's a racing game, but feels more like you are playing a precision platformer at times, especially with the last track. 5/10

🎮 2026 Game #86: Clu Clu Land Great concept and the music is decent too, but oh my god the controls in this are just abysmal and really make it hard to enjoy. A controller d-pad very clearly points in four different directions that a character should move, right? Well not here apparently. 3.5/10

🎮 2026 Game #85: Raccoin: Coin Pusher Roguelike Very cool twist on a roguelike deckbuilder. Maybe not quite as layered as others in the genre, but it looks great, plays well, and has a great mix of chaos and strategy. Seeing number get bigger just makes my brain happy. 7/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #84: Toree Jolly Jam Super cute Christmas Toree game with some actually really cool unlockables that include not only new characters to play the (one) level again with, but some demos and other little prototypes too. 6/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #81: Toree Genesis A small collection of some fairly basic Toree levels. Nothing too special, but not necessarily bad either. Definitely feel the Sonic the Hedgehog inspiration with these, especially with the first level, although the last level was my favorite. 6/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #80: Monster Crown: Sin Eater Despite its edgy and weirdly over-philosophical story, I quite enjoyed this one. The creature-collecting mechanics are fun, fusing monsters is an interesting alternative to evolving them, the art/music are nice, and the pacing is solid. 7.5/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #79: Gamble With Your Friends Very goofy multiplayer roguelike. The core is simple - number must go higher - but it has a lot of charm and a surprising amount of strategy. Lacks replayability, but I had a great time playing through it a few times over with friends. 7/10 #IndieGames

🎮 2026 Game #78: Sprint City Mechanically fine, but a bit floaty and with some horrendous UI and design choices. The whole open-world to select a level thing is just not a good choice for a game meant to be played with friends. I love SpeedRunners, so this was very disappointing. 3/10 #IndieGames
