As a one-shot, we did an off-shoot of our main game, exploring characters at the Imperial College, using the #LegendoftheMist rules. I played the Court Spy, posing as a nerdy student with the Instantly Forgettable tag. At the end, another player said the voice I used for her was 'unbearably moist' 🤣

Had way too much fun playing Thirsty Sword Lesbians at @conventionzero.bsky.social. My utterly shameless and broken TRICKSTER - Señorita Winnebago Arozza Nimon (aka Swan). That awkward moment of being exposed for intercepting and rewriting the romantic correspondence of the PC you're smitten with 😇

What a delightful evening at @conventionzero.bsky.social, where an informative seminar on GM-less rpgs by a dear friend turned into a sweet and solemn impromptu game of A Diner at the End. The gaming community never ceases to amaze 💜

GM: Sets up gripping confrontation with misunderstood death priestess deep in the Temple of EverNight, where campaign secrets will be revealed. Players: Lure her into combat with an eldritch horror and run other way... GM: "You hear the unspeak-" Player: "I toss in my trapped djinn flask." GM: 😑

So, I'm mildly concerned about today's air quality... 🤔

Currently watching N0S4A2 and I'm torn... genuinely love the dark, nasty stuff. Zachary Quinto is bloody brilliant. Give me just Charlie Manx being cool-creepy 24/7. But damn... I cannot stand the main 'protagonist.' I enjoy flawed heroes, but damn girl - can you make even ONE good decision?!

Quite enjoyed this very thorough overview of one of my favorite D&D series. In many regards, these modules continue to inspire my game design to this day.

Well, I saw it in the theatre, and holy hell... what a trip. Worth the price of admission for the sound production alone. The elevator scene was amazing... the shift from growing menace to chest-thrumming violence (chef's kiss). So glad I went.

Easily one of my favorite pieces in my game collection. Actually have it up as art 💙

Well, my obsession with Rise of the Ronin finally has come to temporary halt... 'cause, #GhostofYōtei arrived last night. This game is already stupidly gorgeous and cinematic. Will spend half my time in photo mode. Some nice storytelling tricks, and slowly warming to the combat (RONIN spoiled me 😅).

Any day you get to use 'Squamous' in your writing is a good day...

Well, I know what I'm seeing in October...

So, for half my last session, I sat back while the players mused over the 'murder board' they'd assembled for the campaign. By the end of it, they were discussing if one of them should become the One True God or allow the world to descend into primordial chaos... these are the moments GMs live for 🤣

LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS is glorious, but I was never in a thousand years expecting to see Marc Laidlaw's 400 BOYS (from Mirrorshades) animated... a short story that's been itching at the back of my mind for forty years. A perfect blend of punk, music, gore, and surrealism.

Rereading James Herbert's THE RATS and realizing I may have been a little too young for reading this at age 11... how did I forget the baby? 😐 Ah well, formative years, am I right?

It's so utterly surreal to think I started playing Traveller back in 1982... and now I have articles in #13 and #14 of the JTAS (The Mewey and The Mewey Empire). My old Referee would be proud 🤩

Last night, my DW character 'died,' as part of a ritualistic purification. Not only did the GM focus the entire session around it, they incorporated the other players into one of the coolest vision-quests I think I've had the pleasure of playing. Never tire of their amazing storytelling skills 🥰

You've probably heard it before, but KPOP DEMON HUNTERS is an absolute revelation in animation. Neon-gob-smackin'-musical-brilliance from start to finish. Seriously, nothing should be this amazing and fun. Would have liked a little more back story, but can forgive that, as long as we get a sequel XD

I've seen bad horror movies before... so I had low expectations for UNTIL DAWN, but, dear lord, I never believed things could be ~that~ terrible. Intensely dull, profoundly stupid, and devout of any tension. Felt like AI writing, turning the franchise's actual good parts into an incoherent smoothie.
