Starmer and Reeves deserve nothing but scorn for having wasted 2 years in arriving at the conclusion that the UK needs closer ties with Europe. As for Reeves promotion of reduced regulation for city firms, that is, frankly, contemptible

Less than 2 years ago, I not only supported Starrmer, but could hardly wait for him to move into Downing St, to start governing with competence and integrity. Now, I'm counting down the hours 'til he is out: he's let down his supporters, his colleagues, and his country.

Amongst Starmer's many failures is the failure to take steps to replace the FPTP voting system with a form of PR. In just over 3 years, the UK (if it still exists) will face the prospect of govt by Reform or Greens, neither with any experience, or LD's whose years in coalition were hardly a success

David Cameron demonstrated his unfitness for office by playing dice with the future of the country over Brexit for party political purposes over Brexit. Now it seems Starmer has done much the same by selecting Mandelson to be US ambassador
