Another improvement to the IIDX - deck looks a lot nicer now!

Before vs. After I knew I wanted to keep the original IIDX monitor frame no matter what… so I was happy to find out a community mod already existed to upgrade the 37” 60Hz Troopers LCD, with a brand new 38” 120Hz IPS display! I think it’s hard to tell it’s not official 😮

So not only did I sort out a bunch of bookshelves, but I also did the wplace thing Kelly, Nyami, and Tourmaline from pop’n GB, and me! I was planning to put sanae, mimi and ling ling to the right… but unfortunately the space got taken 😅 What a productive weekend!

The top left shelf is a little sparse and unorganised… but I RAN OUT MERCH!? So I guess it’ll have to do for now 🙃 Got some stuff coming to hang posters up and stick badges, phone charms, and other dangly things to… so it’s not finished YET! But soon!! (Also got 2 massive boxes of merch coming 💀)

I have made a very important addition to my office desk!! These are clearly meant to be used to hold medal cups in taito game station locations… but as I don’t (YET) have one of those cabs in my house… I guess this is the next best thing 😅

Another shelf sorted - unsurprisingly, the theme here is “pop’n music on console” I really wanted to squeeze the pop’n pocket LCD game in here… as it would feel right at home I’m sure… but it’s just too big 😩

Working hard to give all my merch some breathing room. Increase visibility. Add some “theming”. So here’s the first shelf finished - the “pop’n cafe tribute” I tried to put as many cafe/food/drink themed items on here as possible. Wasn’t able to fit EVERYTHING… but I think it worked out 😁

Good start to my new house spending spree… I bought the wrong sized desk 💀 Do I accept my “big gap” fate, or do I defy the gods and attempt a refund/swap?

The flood saga is officially over 🥳 Spent this week packing, loading, driving, unloading - and so now we’ve moved into our new forever home~ It’s going to take a little while to really settle in and build everything back up again, but I have big plans for an even bigger and better home arcade!

I must sleep now… but I’m extremely happy with the new pop’n cab design I think it’s a LITTLE busy around the deck, but it screams “pop’n” to me. It’s just a fun design! Compared to the sleek and neutered LM/VM/AM cabs, this has a lot of character. 120Hz (maybe?) 1080p No windows XP offset peak.

it's also confirmed that the game now runs 120hz and there's visual offset now...this is so fucking exciting they're giving my favorite rhythm game series ever the biggest fucking treatment its had since 2010???
