What do dates look like for us? It’s two hours in a coffee shop playing board games while we wait to go get our kiddo. Also, Brad has won LoTR Duel four times and me… once. 😅 I love the game though. We have found with Jekyll and Hyde that whoever is Jekyll loses in the second round so far.

We got The Fuzzies from our FLGS the other month and just yesterday we were finally able to get it to the table. It was a huge hit! Thanks @shutupshow.bsky.social for the recommendation. Finally found a game our 6 year old actually laughs about when we lose!

Brad’s favorite thing: a board game with a good, functional insert that organizes the components for easy set up and take down!

Sad puppy. It’s been raining for two days and all she wants to do is play ball outside but Mom said the yard is too muddy and wet. ☔️🐾

Yesterday, we played some games with Jaina that she recently got for her birthday: Hammer Time, IQ Puzzler, Bluey The Creek Pop Around Game, and Mario Guess Who. We have a couple more to try soon with her and can’t wait. We love playing with our kiddo.

We were able to get a game in today of Deep Regrets by @tettix.bsky.social and had a lot of fun playing. Brad went the route of sane fisher-person and well, Berp and I went full on madness. Madness won 😂 🎣🐙

Brad is sick and has felt miserable but he worked so hard to make my Mother’s Day weekend special, despite me telling him to just rest. I felt so appreciated and loved. I also was over the moon 🌙 to unwrap this yesterday as one of my presents. 🎁

Brad asked me what I wanted to do this weekend for Mother’s Day. Top of my list was to take some time today for a quick day trip to West Chester and my favorite FLGS The Games Keep for some new board games. Our little girl picked the Pixies for her “board game table toys” collection. 😅

So April has just been so crazy for us. We are not going to get our podcast episode published this month but life will be calmer in May. A lot is happening in the board game community and we are really excited about the next game we are featuring.

We always love the little extra touches game designers and publishers do to bring a game’s theme to life a bit more. Deep Regrets is our next up for us to play too! Also, Tettix Games just helped stopped my doom scrolling so time to go make Sunday into Funday! 😂🎣

Brad was so excited when he found Cryo for sale for $15 at our FLGS. We finally got it to the table yesterday. A close game but Brad was victorious. ☄️🪐💎

Jaina used her allowance to buy some Disney Wish toys on sale this weekend. Then, she wanted to watch the movie. I have to say, the movie and music just hit a lot differently right now. 😔 🎶“So I make this wish To have something more for us than this” 🎶

Sissy is at school and Dad is running errands and Mom just said it’s too muddy and wet to play in the yard… I am a sad puppy curled up on the couch today. 🐶🐾

After a week of not getting a game to the table, we finally were able to play two today with a friend. Jess’s beginner luck kicked in since she hadn’t played either Castles of Burgundy or Wandering Towers before and won both games.

What do I also love that starts with the letter ‘B’ and isn’t board games? Baking! It’s a cold, rainy day is South Jersey. Blueberry- lemon muffins or chocolate chip cookies, anyone? 🍪🧑‍🍳❤️

It’s National Puppy Day and now that she is one not sure if our Cindy Lou still qualifies as a puppy but she will always be a puppy to me. 🐶

Strange things have happened since we moved to NJ but the one I love the most is our leprechaun that visits us every March. Jaina and Greedy Sugar (her name for them) go back and forth with her trying to trap them and GS causing mischief. They left her this letter and some chocolate coins today.

We were supposed to do yard work today but the weather decided not to cooperate so instead some Crossbows and Catapults and a spring grooming appointment.

We got our second game of Imperium Classic from @ospreygames.bsky.social in last night. Jess chose to play the Celts again, choosing Side A this time & Brad was the Vikings. If you love civ builders and haven’t checked this one out yet, you are missing out because it has quickly become a favorite.

Played a solo game of Creature Caravan today while Brad was working and the peanut was at school. The bot won by 10 points because…. I missed getting 12 points on a card 😩 the devil really is in the details lol 😂

Played Agricola for the first time tonight. I totally forgot to take pictures. Brad did a really good job explaining the rules and scoring. I can see why the game has endured for so long in the hobby. I will be interested in seeing how we both play differently and maybe more efficiently next game. 🐑

Timeline sanity cleanse! It’s this little girl’s first birthday today! We got her a little outfit with tutu, some toys already destroyed, and a special treat from our favorite local ice cream shop.

Can’t believe this little goofball is going to be 1 year old on Wednesday! Jaina keeps telling Cindy Lou when she turns one she will then be the big sister because I explained how dogs age and that Cindy will be 7 in human years. 🥰🐶🐾❤️

Last night, we put Sentinels of the Multiverse back on the table and were able to play through the game. The peanut was worn out from two birthday parties yesterday so didn’t need extra snuggles. The heroes managed to win and Voss was interesting to play against.

We were able to get together with a friend today and play a game of Creature Caravan and The Search for Planet X. Brad came in first in Creature Caravan and our friend came first in The Search for Planet X. Both are a lot of fun to play. 🧟🪐

Tonight, we set up Sentinels of the Multiverse, but we didn’t get to finish. The peanut just couldn’t fall asleep and needed extra cuddles. We know our board game collection isn’t going anywhere but our only kid is growing so fast and time with her will always be our priority. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒

The sun is out and so were we! Cindy Lou is a happy puppy with this early spring-like weather.

Well, it’s official after a bit of a scary visit to the dentist today for two baby teeth that just would not come out and were starting to cause issues, our peanut is getting her first visit from the Tooth Fairy tonight. 🦷🧚🏻🦷

Well Brad slaughtered me, he won by a bit and I wasn’t even out of my Barbarian phase… Defiantly learned some key takeaways for playing better next time. I told him I am actually going to be the Celts again to see if I can win with them now that I understand the game better. 🏛️

Age yourself with a movie you saw in theaters. (Jess) Also a note, I became obsessed with this movie but Disney hid it for years and my friends in high school thought I was nuts. When I went to Disney World for my 17th, I came back with a trivia book mentioning it to show them I was in fact sane.

This is what Jaina decided to do with her stickers from when we backed Flamecraft from Cardboard Alchemy, decorate her and my water tumblers. I love how they turned out! The cups definitely are giving off a more cozy vibe with cute dragons 🐉 all over them.

Our goal today is to get @ospreygames.bsky.social Imperium Classics to the table finally. Brad has Jaina out for a daddy-daughter breakfast date so I am picking my faction. I think I will go with the Celts! They sound cool! Who is your favorite nation?

Cindy Lou is feeling better thankfully! No more bellyaches since yesterday afternoon. We did manage to get Shards of Infinity from Stoneblade Ent. to the table so at least we got one game in yesterday. Brad won with 5 health left. A close and very fun game.

For anyone else in my boat, the answer is you need to call the hotel and DO NOT SELECT "RESERVATIONS". You need to talk to SALES. And she won't be in until Monday.

Well we were supposed to have a friend over for board games today while the peanut was in school but the dog has been throwing up all morning and the peanut’s loose tooth started hurting her so it’s going to be one of those days. May you all have a better start to your Fridays than we are ❤️
