This week's #TwentiesTuesday garment is this c. 1928 white beaded flapper dress made from muslin embellished with white and bronze bugle beads. The front and back features a motif of cascading pink roses created using bugle and seed beads. Sold by Kerry Taylor Auctions. #fashionhistory

This reed basket is around 2,500 years old. It probably belonged to an Egyptian woman of some status and would have been used to store cosmetics, jewellery and other small household items. The super dry Egyptian climate has perfectly preserved an otherwise perishable item. We’re lucky to see it 📷 me
