My afternoon #Knitting side project. Mom's shawl gets from dawn to noon. This is for the afternoon, if I'm still having knitting urges. Just as an experiment with material mom gave me for that exact purpose: to explore texture, material, sizes, color, so forth.

2 days progress, dawn to noon #Knitting since last post of project. I'm pretty chuffed with progress. No pickup or dropped stitches. Tension basically consistent. Finished 1st skein, now on 2nd. I suspect the fringe I've planned might take longer than the actual knitting. Or (k)not... bwhahaha!

Thank you to the #Knitting community here for your interest, encouragement, suggestions, and just general positive vibes about my Knitting journey. I'm honestly not prepared for it. I'm a bare beginner, with some hurdles that make doing complicated stitches & patterns incredibly difficult. I ❤️ 🫵!

This is where I stopped at Noon yesterday. It's going quickly. I did find a flaw much further in. Applying rule # 5. It stays, no sense in discarding so many rows technically perfect that came after. It's ok to leave it. Off to continue #Knitting in the Dawn's light. Sun just fully crested.

Heh! I've figured out a shawl closure to keep it in place. I'll make a specific hair stick to give her with the shawl. It'll slip between the stitches pretty easily, plus the size makes it easier for her uncooperative hands to manage it on her own. I'm feeling like a clever boy for thinking of it.

So, I have a set of rules for this #Knitting project for the shawl. 1) Keep checking every 4 rows for added/dropped stitches. Maintain the 90. 2) Only knit from Dawn to Noon. 3) Don't work on the embroidery ideas until shawl knit is done. 4) Immediately stop knitting if mood has negative shift.

Holy crap! Frogging becomes monstrous when you're dealing with 90 stitches, plus count rings... Now questioning my life choices when my idiotic brain expanded the project and process using numerological esoterics. Crochet hook in the right size is helpful. Dyscalculia still unhelpful. #Knitting

January literally starts with kicking in my teeth and ends with this. FML

Trying to head off a #migraine. TENS unit on high to unclench my neck muscles that starts a tension headache that then evolves into the full blown migraine if not interrupted. Usually works well, not even needing meds if I do it soon enough. 🤞 Don't know yet this time.

*deep sigh* Facebook gift that keeps on grifting. This guy has 3 possibilities: 1) Scam bot looking for middle aged to elderly men to get money from. 2) Actual guy looking for sugar daddies. 3) Actual guy honestly into older men w/o ill intent. Place your bets! I have my guess. #Gay #GenX

Next #Knitting project: shawl for my mom at her request. Forest Green acrylic at 90 stitches & size 7 bamboo needles. This will take a while... Using rings to keep counts of 10 & get around my Dyscalculia issues. About every 4 rows, I count between rings to make sure no adds or drops have crept in.

Today's jewelry has a focus on psychic protection, sharpening intuition, connection to spirit & the divine, grounding, centering, & inner balance. I'm watching, gathering, preparing, planning, & becoming. The time for action is approaching. My patience is reaching its limit. #Witch #Gay #GenX

I'd forgotten about this. A Lodge Sister called asking for help with an abusive ex that was fighting the divorce they were in the middle of. He was attempting to steal possessions of hers from before they married. Her magic tools actually. She needed time to secure her things before he arrived.

Had a great visit with @lisugamayari.bsky.social at the Porch Domain yesterday evening. It was easy, comfortable, & enjoyable. She endured my rambling, chaotic babbling like a true champion! She brought me a beautiful gift. Several hair sticks spoke for her, so went home with her. #Witch #WitchSky

New #Knitting project. This is just today's progress, about 4 hours. Did one restart. I only plan to use these 2 cakes. That's about half a skein of each. I'm fascinated with how the colors are interacting. It'll show more obviously as it grows in length.

I'm in shock. A friend of many years died unexpectedly last night. Yes, there were serious health issues, but he was meeting them strongly. He was a fellow #CatDad, #Gay, #Diabetic, #Scorpio and #GenX. All things I share in common with him. It's hard to accept that he is just gone, so damn early.

So, continuing my exploration on potentially creating & selling my hair stick creations... Am I looking at this properly for figuring out basic final cost per hair stick? Have I forgotten anything important? Put something I shouldn't? The list reflects the supplies for what I am willing to make.

Finished the actual #Knitting for the scarf. 2 skeins. Final stage is folding and stitching the ends and side with the lavender llama/silk yarn. I'm waiting for sunlight to do the final work. Despite finding some flaws, I'm forcing my #Autism to accept them. I'm content.

I'm thankful for a #GenX husband that appreciates sarcasm & darkness humor. Yeah, our Mediterranean Rosemary is extremely strong smelling with the slightest contact. Shithead (Eros), hid under there & watched me panic while looking for him. Saw me coming back & darted for the door to get back in.

Eros decided to give me absolute heart failure this morning. The wooden front door popped open without me knowing. The screen was also not shut completely. I go inside to take my morning meds & notice both doors barely ajar. I instantly panic. I checked the entire house. No #Cats to be found. 1/2
