Happy Gilmore 2 is a worthy sequel. Sure, I’m a Sandler fanboy, and mostly it’s a guilty pleasure, but it was an entertaining return to a Happy Place. I’d watch it again.

The affordable google cloud VMs all default to around 4Gb of RAM. It should pop up an error when you try to set a boot disk to any version of Windows without adjusting that. Imagine setting that up and trying to run Unity...

Watched the recently released Snow White. I had super low expectations based on overall reception, but it was far worse than I was prepared for. There is no live action Disney remake anywhere near as bad as this one. I honestly can't think of a worse remake. Unsure why this was made.

Recently watched the new How to Train Your Dragon. It's a great story because it matches the original animated version nearly beat for beat. The original animation is better in every way - though the new Toothless looks fantastic. Unsure why this was made.

Went to our Hands Off protest in South Royalton VT. Couple hundred people there and a speaker that was at Selma Civil Rights marches! Pretty amazing turnout for our town of around 2,700. Bonus inclusion of the Gilmore Girls intro Gazebo.

Katamari Damacy Rolling Live on Apple TV with a controller feels every bit as good as the other games in the series. Definitely recommend it to fans (iOS version supports a controller too). Can’t stop humming the songs…

We've been Target Red Card holders sine 2013 - spending probably a couple thousand there in the past 12 years. Today we cancelled our accounts and told them it was due to their stance against Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. It's a small message, but apparently they need to hear it.

Legally it’ll eventually be decided that the president can’t withhold funds from things he doesn’t agree with. By then they’ll hold the reins to all of the funding systems and there isn’t any independent enforcement that will stop them. Congress isn’t gonna do a thing even if half wanted to.

:-/ In a work flow and then BAM - computer freezes (likely due to the intel chip - which happens 2-3 times a week for me). Force restart on PC. Windows update decides to run on startup. Finally get PC loaded, Unity Hub, Unity, Visual Studio - and can redo the line fixes I didn't yet save. FUN!

There's been a lot of "post through the pain" going on today - with various levels of good and bad takes. I like a lot of what @chadloder.bsky.social has been saying today. On a day when I've actively been unfollowing politics, theirs have been therapeutic.

Venting once more. It makes me so angry that the Democrats in 2020 were like "The only possible way to beat Trump is with Biden" - grouping up to kill Bernie - with no clear strategy on what to do beyond that. Then they waited until 3 months before the election to concoct a plan. Madness.

Bernie keeps trying. I commented at the time that Kamala plus Status Quo isn't enough to win. Running on "Trump is bad" wasn't enough. Leaning in to Republicans killed all momentum and left even less room for offering any real change - and once Carville and Clinton started talking - it was over.

Oh My God. The "good guys" are attacking Jon Stewart for "defending" the comedian at Trump's rally - because the media is coming down harder on the comedian than MAGA itself - like his "jokes" were the most offensive parts. PLEASE can it just be next week already. Jon Stewart will NOT be cancelled.

11 more days of politics. I'm giving it til the day after, but honestly it might be longer. But at least by then it'll no longer be about voting - just results. I had to unfollow somebody today for promoting a James Carville piece. I'm not sure how much more I can take.
