The Pearl Snaps play Mercer Dance Hall on 12/21/25. The Hall’s last day is 12/31/25 and we don’t know what the new owners are going to do with it.

Fingerpistol is one of my favorite Austin bands. Their original music is sardonic and cool and also makes for great dancing. This is “You Lie”.

The second show at ABGBs is Lynndigo. I would call their sound ‘Jazzy’ in a loose sense of the term. The lead singer reminds me of Ricki Lee Jones and Nancy Sinatra.

We’re taking a break from dancing tonight and will be enjoying a John Lennon tribute concert at ACL in downtown Austin. It will be performed by the #9 Orchestra.

Warren Hood and his band are quite good! He’s a rockin’ fiddle player with a great voice. The choice of music is not typical dance hall fare, but excellent nonetheless. He’s a Wednesday regular at ABGB.

Don’t ever, ever go to the Cotton Country Club in Granger Tx. That CCC might as well be a KKK. Wholly extreme right wing establishment.
