My wife and I decided to go back to our original Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion campaign and finally finish it. Survived two more scenarios and going to start a new one. So close to finishing the campaign. At least my thumbs are getting a much needed break from Hollow Knight.

I finally got around to watching the Virtua Fighter Project coverage from Tokyo Game Show 2025. That was really disappointing. Okay, we know there are some new mechanics, but that was from the same video they last released. There was the teaser, but eh. Still excited, but I want more.

Oh shite! The Marvel Wolverine game is really happening!

Hmm, I wonder what they plan on showing. I'm guessing Ghost of Yotei might be a focus with it releasing so soon; but I'd love to see what else they have in store.

Taking an extended break from Hollow Knight. I'm realizing that my reflexes and timing are not what they used to be. I got to the City of Tears and I'm not fairing well against anything here. Not sure I'll have the patience or skill to beat it. 🙁

I got my COVID booster yesterday morning thinking I would feel better today. Nope. Maybe 4 hours of sleep last night and I'm still feeling like shite. This thing always knocks me out.

Okay, feeling under the weather and trying to play Hollow Knight is a bad combination. Especially with these stupid mantis enemies. This area is just ripping me apart. Time for a break so I'm not tossing my controller.

I'm having so much fun with Hollow Knight. It scratches that perfect Metroidvania itch with the right level of challenge for me. Unfortunately, my age is finally catching up as this game is killing my thumbs. I just have to break up the play session.

Taking a break from Dune Awakening. Time for me to finally play a game long overdue.

Today is my last day at my job. Not by choice, but honestly a blessing in disguise as this is one of the most toxic work environments I've ever worked in. These last few weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions and planning as I shift my new "job" to finding a new job. Adulting sucks.

After playing so much Dune Awakening with my wife, she finally decided to watch the Dune movies. Since I have some time off, we watched Dune Part 1 and 2 over the last couple of days. She loved them and can't wait for part 3.

I can't get over how amazing these graphics for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined look for me. I'm absolutely loving the diorama art style.

So I missed out on Hollow Knight and never played it when it first came out. Then I honestly forgot about it. Now with all the hype and excitement around Silksong, I figured it's time to remedy this. I finally picked up Hollow Knight on my Switch. Now to set aside the time.

Spent the last three days applying to jobs and planning for unemployment. Needless to say, my anxiety has been through the roof. Going to play some Dune Awakening for a little escape.

The new Helldivers 2 Halo crossover event started today. The struggle is real between Dune Awakening and Helldivers 2 now. Not to mention all the other games in my backlog.

It has been years since I've gotten this pulled into a game. 167.3 hours put into Dune Awakening so far, and that doesn't include my time in the closed beta. Right now, it is my 6th most played game on Steam. I wonder how much further it will climb. (465 hours is my longest with PoE).

My wife and I have been playing so much Dune Awakening together, she finally has the itch to watch the movies. Starting with the 1984 version before we watch the newest ones.

Another busy weekend of chores, but taking a break to play some more Dune Awakening. Working on moving my base to a regular sub-fief so I can avoid taxes. Basic, but it has what I need.

I honestly forgot about this game. I really hope it holds up to the extremely long wait.

I had an amazing trip to Michigan last week to visit my wife's family. Took some great shots from Cedar Lake where I stayed. Much needed week off.

Excited this came in. First printing of the revised 2nd Edition of Gloomhaven. I just didn't expect the box to weigh 28 lbs.

What does it say about me that I want to get all the swimsuit outfits in both Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8.

I had a lot of fun watching EVO 2025 Las Vegas. It was a busy weekend, so I didn't watch as much as I wanted, but I got to catch most of the bigger highlights. Also, watching it made me cave and buy the Year 3 Character Pass for Street Fighter 6. I'm really excited to try out Sagat tomorrow.

Finished running my backyard drip line yesterday, over 1500 yards of drip line. Also finished my errands for a busy day. I did watch some more EVO coverage and play some Dune Awakening with my wife. Today is a complete relaxation day with the final day of EVO and more Dune Awakening with my wife.

Dang it. I still need to play Darksiders 3. I also still need to buy Darksiders 3.

Playing catch up this weeks gaming news while I avoid doing any work. Finally got a chance to watch the Nintendo Partner Direct. These are my 4 most anticipated games after watching that.

I'm all for a free upgrade for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, especially with cross platform play getting added.

EVO 2025 Las Vegas begins today! Going to try to watch what I can. Currently watch a breakdown of the Marvel Token gameplay from the event. This game looks so amazing. Excited to try out this 4v4 mechanic.

Super excited. Starting a new character in Dune Awakening with my wife and we are going to play together. She got into the game late so our first characters were way apart from each other, so we were playing solo so far. Going to be nice playing through co-op.

Shoot, I just realized EVO 2025 Las Vegas starts August 1st. I'm going to try my best to watch what I can, but it's going to be tough. Should have taken time off.

Ugh, I'm really trying to hold off on getting the Street Fighter 6 Year 3 pass. My employer isn't making me feel like I may not be working for them for much longer, so I'm trying to be very careful what I spend money on. Sorry Sagat, you will have to wait for now, but it's so tempting.

Apparently, I'm not done with my Elder Scrolls itch. Started playing Oblivion Remastered and I'm completely pulled back in. The remastered look is making me feel like I'm playing it again for the first time, while still getting that nostalgic feeling. Just that perfect mix of old and new.

With Morrowind and Doom The Dark Ages finish, I'm hopping back into Dune Awakening for a bit while I decide what else I want to play. Thinking about trying out the Tainted Grail demo and then starting the Oblivion Remastered.

I finally did it! I beat Elder Scrolls III Morrowind. The one Elder Scrolls game I played the hell out of, but never beat the main story.

Another early day to work on the backyard drip system. Called it quits after my legs gave out and I rolled down the little hill we have. Yep, I might be done for the day. 😄

While it's not my personal favorite, I really do like this game. Once I figured out how to manage time using the Song of Time (speed up/slow down), I became so invested in the game to find out all it's secrets. It also has one of the most badass Link's in the entire series, Fierce Deity Link.

I got my wife interested in playing Dune Awakening. She's not as interested in the Dune universe like I am, so I'm excited that this caught her attention. Can't wait to play it together.

Woke up early and spent the first 5 and a half hours working on our backyard drip system. Still a lot more rubbing to run, but it's going to be nice once it's done. Playing some Dune Awakening now since it's way too hot to be outside right now.

Time to continue exploring Arrakis.
