I’m often asked: how do I change my mind? The bottom line is by repeatedly going to the placeless place from which the mind arises via meditation, investigation & contemplation. These provide Grace the quiet space for understanding (aha moments).

What’s the ‘voice-in-the-head saying at this very moment? As soon as you are aware of the metal chatter, it quiets down & stillness arises. However, leave it unobserved & you can be sure that 1 of your buttons will be pushed.

See that nothing you see - no matter how good or bad - can affect the true You (that which is Being Aware of the apparent good/bad). Just a a film can’t truly touch the viewer.

Realize that you don’t experience life; you experience the life you choose. When your mind’s filter is opaque, you see & act with a prejudicial eye. However when your mind is transparent & luminous, you see God’s creation just as it is.

“Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps the most fatal to true happiness.” I suggest we obey Bertrand Russell’s advice & throw caution to the wind - spread LOVE this Valentines Day.

As I’ve mentioned, I rarely delve into the past. But if I do, it’s for: learning experiences & joyful memories. This intention ensures peace of mind. Tonight I’ll be bathing in the latter when I reunite with our 2001 Sixers team in ‘our house’ with ‘our loving Philly family.’

A super power you can develop w/practice is to shift from the noisy monkey mind to being the witness of the mental chatter. This ‘sacred shift’ changes your Life!

Our Tibetan Terrier just makes you want to take a moment and say a little prayer of ‘thanks’ for the present moment.

You have 2 choices at every present moment: use the mind or allow the mind to abuse you. The first experience is when you’re consciously being aware; the latter is when you’re lost in time - memory or imagination.

A great way to start the day after a brief meditation - warm up the inside first & then walk the dogs in no (0) temperature. Ha! Bring it on!

No matter what you’re doing today, stop, take a deep breath, & just be aware of all the ‘happening’ around you. It’s a great way to insert a little peace into your life. No judging, preferring or expecting, just observing.

It helps when dealing with a difficult person to detach & simply witness with curiosity how he/she is caught in the low-vibe voice in their head. Don’t allow their pain or unease to be yours.

48 years ago today, we said ‘I do’ & joyfully Diane & I are still doing! What wonders, adventures, love & serendipity unfolded along the way - and the momentum is picking up!

I suggest performing a 2025 autopsy on yourself by asking yourself: “Was I more joyful & peaceful or did I suffer more from a sense of unease & lack?” If your answer is the latter, set a firm intention to investigate your mental habits & how they are effecting your Now!
