Happy National Anime Day! I think I'll spend a good chunk of today trying to catch up on my giant backlog of to-watch anime - not that I need an excuse to watch anime.

Last night, I finally finished reading my first book of April, Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage. I've already put a library hold on the next book in the series but until that arrives I need to figure out what I will read next.

Stopped by the local nursery today and picked up a couple of blueberry plants. We had bought and planted 6 last year but they all died (we're working with that company to either get a refund), so figured I better start replacing those.

Between the kitchen, garden, and laundry, my day was FULL. It's that busy time of year and I feel like I'm constantly running around trying to keep up, but I love it, especially the end result of all the hard work.

I had a strong hankering for buttermilk biscuits, so I whipped up a batch.

It's a beautiful day out, despite it being a bit smoky from a nearby wildfire, so I did some more garden bed prep and also planted a few more trays of seeds. Planted spinach, swiss chard, onions, and 3 varieties of cabbage. Can't wait til I can actually plant things outside in a month or so.

I barely use my Kindle but this is frustrating because the device works perfectly and come May it'll be a fancy paperweight because they won't allow me to send books to it. Guess I won't be reading e-ARCs anymore either, since I doubt they will let me use send-to-kindle when they push this through.

I made the decision to DNF Ouran High School Host Club. I loved the anime series but I have tried to read the manga twice and both times only reached volume 7 before I lose interest.

Had a decently busy day of knocking out more of my backlog to-do list. We ended it off with cake and watching Armageddon, so I'd call it a success.

Today I'm playing a bit of catch up, with numerous things I hope to get done but I won't sweat it if I don't get to everything. On the list is: -laundry -bake a cake -clean the kitchen -empty out inbox -plant seeds -blog work -read -watch Armageddon +other things that need attention

I did not plan to disappear again but let's just say March was...a month. It wasn't terrible but I just couldn't be bothered most days. I'm hopeful April will be much better but taking things mostly one day at a time.

After a busy day of catching up on housework, I made sure to run to the library before it closed to pick up my latest hold. I've really been enjoying this series, and I'm sure I will finish it next month at the rate I'm reading.

After a solid week of doing nothing but gaming and sleeping (it was a blast), I am ready to return to reading and other regular activities. All I want to do today is read. Since I just borrowed the audiobook of Depths of Vanalf from the library, that will likely be my first read of the month.

Less than an hour before I am knee-deep into gaming, and not much else for a solid few days. Needless to say, I'll be on the quiet side, but after that, I should be back to my regular schedule - as erratic as that "regular schedule" is. 😂

Pulled the first batch of pizza breadsticks out of the oven about 5 minutes ago, and yeah, these aren't gonna last long. They never do, but something about still warm from the oven bread just makes them so addictive to eat.

Today is going to be decently busy. I'm trying to get a bunch of stuff done before early access for World of Warcraft: Midnights comes around. So it's going to be a hectic couple of hours. Took the dog for a walk despite the crazy wind, and now I'm baking some gaming snacks.

We had an early family movie night this week. We normally do them on Saturday, but there are some things that will keep us from doing it then, so we figured, why not do it tonight. We ended up watching Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde.

Swung by the library to pick up a few movies and noticed the book sale section was full. Found some books to bring home, and I think I'm in a mystery mood because they all happen to be mystery books. #booksky #libraryhaul

There's a book sale in town today, and I am excited to go. I have no idea what kind of books they will have, but even if I simply end up perusing the selection, that will be fun.

I've delayed finishing this book by several hours because I did not want it to end, but I think it's time to experience the conclusion of the story. I know I will be requesting the sequel from the library immediately.

Spent a few hours this morning being a responsible adult, which means I'm now free to play video games for a bit.

Guys, my onions have started to sprout! I planted these 9 days ago. So, I can officially say the 2026 garden has been started. In other news, it's a miserably cold, windy, and snowy evening, so I'm going to spend it in the best way: bundled up with a blanket and a book.

As much work as it is to dust my books and shelves regularly, it was oddly relaxing to do it today.

Well, I didn't expect to take a week-long break from social media, but it happened. But I'm back now.

Cheeseburger casserole for dinner tonight really hit the spot. Filling, delicious, and made enough for us to have leftovers tomorrow.

Highly recommend this book - it was one of my favorite reads of 2025. If you haven't picked it up yet now is a good time as it's now available in all formats.
