Had to work an 8hr shift today and another tomorrow. My weekend was stolen from me by folks who kept calling in sick. Only cuz I live close to the Y did they call me up, and they knew I was already recovering from the cold I dealt with this week~

I didn't call in sick at either of my jobs cuz im a trooper that needs money~ but also cuz I don't have any sick days that pay. So staying home in bed sick is useless if I'm not even earning anything. They know I can't afford to call out or refuse an extra shift, and they take advantage of that🫩😮‍💨

I've been sick the past week, and having to wake up at 5 in the morning with a head cold & muscle soreness is just another reminder that no one is safe. No matter how prepared and ready I was (hand sanitizer and all) I still got sick in my class. At least I'm not getting it in the middle of winter🫩🤧
