This would have been an absurd parody on the Colbert Report 15 years ago. One of the running jokes was conservatives going with their gut over facts. Insane times.

Fundamentally, we need to primary a lot of Senate Dems if we want a change. Not just the ones who voted yes, but the ones who wanted it to pass that made Schumer their leader because he'd never pressure them to do anything they felt might be unpopular, regardless of the stakes.

The only solution will be to vigorously primary Democrats who cave or are ok with caving. It's also the most effective way to change the party.

I'm curious what Democrats are onboard with this and if Schumer was involved and how.

Republican voters have been trained to reject the truth in favor of lies. In the last 17 years they've driven out almost all elected Republicans that won't do the same. This is the inevitable result of choosing people who can't learn from their mistakes.
