talk to me (2023) has probably my favorite interpretation of possession and ghosts in anything because of how it rejects the idea of an "evil" spirit it draws you in with familiar conventions as a way to lull you into a false sense of security when the reality it poses is so much more fucked up

I really hate the rise of vibe coded apps I love downloading niche software from passionate professionals making open source programs but a critical part of that interaction is the trust that whoever made the app has read the code enough to know it won’t memory leak and brick my laptop

just learned Sam Keith passed away, that’s such a devastating loss—The Maxx was a super inspirational comic for me, and I hold his memoir works very dear to my heart such an amazing writer and artist gone way too soon

so I was feeling pretty down about something and, I am being completely serious, seeing this thumbnail instantly flipped my mood. I went from full on crying to complete calm. thing sauce is actually healing as fuck

over the years I’ve had a lot of people ask me if I have any tutorials I can point to on how I draw specific things and my honest advice is that there is no “trick” or “hack” that will work for everyone or even a majority specific technique can be helpful but only if you know ball, so to speak

admittedly i've kind of grappled with lake mungo and whether I feel positively towards it or not over the last few years but I think I find that a lot of the horror of it comes from the idea that who you were, your struggles, and your pain will disappear when people mourn you

people always tell me "oh i wish my hair had volume like yours" you really don't because if you cut it a molecule too short it will form a permanent protective sphere around your head
