When someone tells you you’re just one person, remember this. Also, I have lots of matches. 🔥

I will forever scream this from the mountains. I cannot imagine a world where a man was denied lifesaving care because of some’s beliefs and not science. Bullshit.

Every time I feel overwhelmed I look at this hoop and remember that I might only be one person, but I’m smart, confident, and loud. I have taken one of the more offensive things said to me and turned it into my entire motivation. After all, it only takes one match to burn the whole thing down.

I know that the playbook is to make us feel defeated, and overwhelmed, and too tired to act, but I’m NOT playing their game. I will NOT go back.

The first state to enact no-fault divorce was California in 1969. The last state to enact such a law was New York. Before this a couple had to PROVE there was wrongdoing or abuse. It is estimated that after no-fault divorce was legal there was an 8-16% drop in female suic1de and a 30% drop in DV.

Oklahoma and North Carolina were the last 2 states to pass laws allowing a woman to charge her husband with SA. Some states still allow for exceptions. Ohio (where I live) finally closed the marital loophole August 9, 2024.

The Supreme Court’s 1972 Eisenstadt v. Baird decision established that unmarried people have the same right to birth control as married people because under the 14th amendment married and unmarried people should be treated the same.

I have always felt that I was smarter than MOST of the mediocre men I’ve met. They’ve been told they’re special and to be bold, where I’ve been told to be humble and polite. Well fuck that. Celebrate your greatness and shout it from the rooftops (or Internet)!
