Conventional wisdom says to avoid astrophotography during a full moon. Whilst it doesn't give the best the view of the night sky, I love the way the moon lights up the countryside. But for the stars, this view of The Long Mynd in Shropshire almost looks like it was shot in daylight. #Photography

Newburgh, on the south shore of the Firth of Tay, Fife, Scotland. In 1266 Newburgh was granted burgh status by King Alexander III, as a burgh belonging to the Abbot of Lindores. Incidentally, Lindores Abbey Distillery opened in the town in 2017 and their whisky is excellent. #Photography

Until 1970, this viaduct carried trains on the Edinburgh to Perth line. Hidden in the trees is the entrance to one of the Glenfarg tunnels. These are now open to the public, but the tunnels are unlit, so my wife said **** that, we're not going through there. And that was that. #Photography

Magpie Mine, Sheldon, Peak District, Derbyshire. The conditions in Victorian mines would have been dire for the workers. But with the passage of time, and nature reclaiming what is hers, there is now I believe, immense beauty in these former industrial landscapes. #Photography
