When reporting on the individual benefits of aging in place, I would like to also see some mention of the impact of aging in place on the housing market. A 95 year old widow with a 5 br house is one less 5 br house for a family. Build more nice affordable senior housing. Housing is a cycle.

During Trumps first campaign and term, the media wouldn’t say he was lying. Just refused to use the word. Now the media won’t call out government censorship. Just refuse to use the word. They write long articles no one reads but won’t use the simple words that resonate with Americans. Why?

Until Trump, I never realized that half of Americans were completely ok with the treatment of other humans during the holocaust. Perhaps not Jews as targets, but the systematic abuse and dehumanization doesn’t phase them. If/when it goes further, half those “good Christians” will support it.

Everyday I see an article about Trump poll numbers. We aren’t in a democracy! Americans support gun background checks, abortion rights, environmental protection, term limits etc. by huge margins. If we had a democracy, we would also have referendums on controversial issues.

I find it a little sexist that no one is asking Melania Trump about Jeffrey Epstein. As a model, she no doubt saw and heard about a lot of shady things since they were in the same social circles.

The mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas and the mass casualty event from flooding at Camp Mystic demonstrates that the only thing Texas officials do well is point fingers and shirk accountability. A recurring theme is that no one qualified is in charge.

Polls only matter to people who care about being reelected. The republicans don’t plan to need to run for reelection again under a dictatorship so they are just doing whatever their black hearts desire.

Why isn’t there a tax credit for documented volunteer work for government projects? If your town has a cleanup day, volunteers should get a state or federal tax credit. The companies who donate pizza and paint get to write it off. It seems fair.
