A bunch of small quality of life mods I highly recommend using with Familiar Additions and honestly Minecraft Java edition in general are Sounds with M.R.U. and YetAnotherConfigLib, Day Length with AnCore, Better Controls, CommandKeys, Sound Physics Remastered, WorldEdit, and ProPlacer!

It appears I have finally figured out how to use jigsaw blocks. FINALLY!!! Procedurally generated Redstone Labs are extremely close to becoming a thing. Split into 25 segments, each segment will have different rooms, decor, loot, entrances, cores (large central rooms,) and more. #mcdev #minecraft

I keep watching mod showcase videos and getting greatly disappointed because so many ideas I thought I came up with, have already been done. I guess at this point it will depend on how the ideas are executed instead of originality but I like to think I have something different. #mcdev #minecraft

a handful of new barrels along with steel drums! I still have a lot of textures for the remaining wood types but so far these are done and even have slightly different sounds than the original to better reflect their wood types. also for some reason the lavender wants to say hi. #mcdev #minecraft

a small yet significant additional. air duct crawling animation! right now air ducts are meant as a an additional way to traverse the Redstone labs, it doesn't have a real function yet. it could be a placeholder for something more vanilla friendly. any ideas? #mcdev #minecraft

The most unfamiliar addition in FA, the Siren. A Redstone block that does nothing initially, but when it's powered and an entity that aids movement is detected nearby, it will blare, trigging nearby sculk shriekers and sensors. This acts as an anti-cheat block in the Redstone Labs. #mcdev #minecraft

Every Redstone related block in Familiar Additions, some might be familiar to you while others... definitely not, and they stray a bit far from vanilla, which is probably strange for someone trying to make a very vanilla friendly mod. #mcdev #redstone #minecraft

At last, the Ancient Chest has received a proper opening and closing animation. Ancient chests are uncraftable chest variants that replace wooden chests in certain structures. Upon opening, the ancient chest will close automatically after 3 seconds, kicking the player out of its gui. #mcdev

The second block I have added to FA, Deepslate Rubble, now works 100% as intended, with the addition of an animation before it collapses. Deepslate Rubble is akin to gravel except for the fact that it does not fall unless an entity stands on it for too long. #mcdev

Quite literally a Netherite upgrade. Ancient Debris now drops Raw Netherite that can be fortuned and smelted into Netherite Scrap. Out of 64 Debris mined, Fortune 1 gives 73, Fortune 2 gives 83, Fortune 3 gives 100. #mcdev

Missing cracked brick variants, I am not sure why Mojang sleeps on these. Familiar Additions is made to fill in the blank with many features that are lacking and to provide consistency. This does not mean every brick will get a mossy variant but there are a few. #mcdev
