Today several of our Changing Lives teams attended the National Police Chiefs' Council: Breaking Stigma and Ending Exploitation conference.

Recent reports have shown more Londoners are homeless and stuck in temporary accommodation than ever before. With London Councils stating as of November: "there are about 210,000 Londoners experiencing homelessness." More than 100,000 of those being children.

Changing Lives is proud to announce that, from January 2026, we will be delivering North Tyneside’s Integrated Domestic Abuse Support Service.

The teams were in Newcastle Cathedral early this morning prepping our Christmas meals to provide to those in need today 🍴 Anyone is welcome, from those facing Winter on the streets or just in need of a warm space, hot meal and an opportunity to find support.

Our Christmas Meal Appeal was featured in Northern Insight 🎄💜 We recently shared why our winter appeal is so vital - because the funds raised don’t just provide warmth and meals during the festive season, they help us support people facing homelessness and hardship well into the new year.

We’re pleased that the Government has listened to our recommendations and is exploring alternative solutions to address exploitation on adult service websites rather than imposing a blanket ban, discussed during the recent parliamentary debate on the Crime and Policing Bill.

Our Changing Lives project delivering a recovery programme in Newcastle has supported people on their journey to live free from drugs and alcohol and we saw a fantastic 63% graduation rate for the years 2024/2025! 🙌

We’re incredibly proud to share that our Changing Lives team based at HMP Low Newton has been recognised as part of the Offender Management Unit awarded Team of the Year at the Women’s Group Awards 2025 🎉

Homeless Links ‘Our Unhealthy State of Homelessness’ research found that 82% of people experiencing homelessness have a mental health diagnosis ❗ Today marks World Mental Health Day and today we're announcing that Changing Lives is now providing Mental Health Support across South Tyneside.

Recently one of our Changing Lives teams in Doncaster welcomed Damian Allan, Chief Executive of Doncaster City Council, and Mark Smith, Visiting Professor of Public Service Innovation at Manchester Metropolitan University, during scheduled welfare walkabouts.

Last week, one of our Changing Lives teams that provide support services to women who are being sexually exploited & involved in sex work or survival sex in the Midlands attended a conference held by Public Health on Preventing drug related deaths in Walsall.

At Changing Lives, we provide a range of supported accommodation services for young people aged 16-25, offering safe, stable housing alongside tailored support services 🏠
