Happy Friday everyone. It's October in full swing here on the island which, of course, means hot spiced apple cider. Wasn't expecting it straight from the tap but here we are. Fill up your water bottles while it lasts, maintenance is working on a fix.

It's officially Spooky Season here: giant spiders, animated skeletons, bats, and floating jack-o-lanterns. There's no decorations quite like magical decorations.

Today has been so much better than yesterday. It just felt like every student trying magic yesterday did it wrong. It was a mess.

I won’t be done with this day till curfew. Which thankfully is soon.

After a beautiful weekend Monday has started off poorly. I'll be glad for the end of the day. Magic, you'd think it would solve more problems than it creates.

It's officially Fall here on the island as the trees start to change and the morning mists linger past dawn.

Good morning students, staff, and Alum. Just a normal Wednesday today. Waffle bar at breakfast, cold cut sandwiches for lunch, and a toxic mist dissolving our pant legs and shoes.

Big day on the island. First Jotlanch game of the season and it’s was beautiful out.

Does something go wrong every week, no, has it been oddly quiet the last few months... yes, are we all just waiting for something big to happen, also yes.

Good morning all. We've had a rash of odd incidents with magically enhanced backpacks specifically red ones regardless of manufacturer. Students, if the entire contents of your bag has swapped with an unknown student please approach a member of staff and we can help sort it out.

It's a school for magic but it's also a magic school. So weird stuff happens ALL THE TIME!

A whole classroom of first years briefly went missing this morning. Which is not the best start of a new school year.

Busy times have returned. But not really, we only have 37 summer students all of which are over 18 in advanced classes.

Summer session officially starts next Tuesday. So I thought I'd check in. How is everyone's summer going?

It's officially intersession with summer classes not starting til June. Its a lovely break and most of the staff are on vacation. But i'm here...

As of noon today all the students will have departed the school. Except for a few advanced classes and professors who over summer here the school will be empty. The next big job is preparing for next semester. Have a great summer break everyone.

Second day of finals and whatever the charms class is doing is making me sneeze.

The look of utter horror on the faces of the upperclassmen today, the last day of regular classes, as we transition to finals is just...

Next week is finals week and as usual the students don't seem at all prepared.

There’s been a mystery illness going around and, boy, the gross amount of mucus. It’s been tough.

What a busy week. sporadic rain, rising temps, broken elevators, flooded classrooms, mysterious fog, a council of ghosts.... you know, normal stuff.

What always surprises people about working at a Magic School is how much magic doesn't solve problems but creates unique new ones. When your computer breaks it just breaks when my magic typewriter becomes sentient and decides it doesn't like it's job it rewrites my memos to try to get me fired.

Students, no one is Missing or has gone Missing. If you woke up this morning with memories of a brown haired blue eyed best friend we regret to inform you that that person does not/never has existed. Despite your vivid memories there is no indication they are real. We checked, Thank you.

You know what is next week... spring break. It can't come soon enough.

All the sudden all the Daffodils around campus are flowering. Wild.

Its been a busy week and i've forgot to update the goings on at the School. Only 3 magical accidents, a food fight in the Dining Hall, a mystery spill in the Alchemical classroom 3, there was a Wild Desk sighting in Millu, and a bumper crop of 4 leafed clover. What a week.

Happy Friday everyone. So far this week we've had 5 magical accidents. It's not a bad number, as we've had far worse and those 5 were very mild, but hopefully next week we can bring that down. Our goal is always 0.

Due to the sun-zero temperature outdoor classes (Wandless Magic and Magi-zoology) are canceled tomorrow.

Thanks to the magic of the island we get much more mild weather than the surrounding area.... but holy heck its cold out right now.

Well Happy Valentine's Day to everyone except that student that made that giant heart. Prof Poynter and Prof Wandarm finally got it to stop.

I'm sure working at any School with teenagers during Valentine's Day is weird. But working at a School for Magic during Valentine's Day is way Weirder. There's a giant bright red heart floating in the dining hall. It's been (badly) singing a love song to no one for hours now.

The Librarian came by with this map of North America from 1732. We all agree that although there are some inaccuracies it's quite interesting.

It's lovely and snowy outside today. Cold. Hot Chocolate and warming stations are available to students everywhere except for the Library.

Color has stopped working on the third floor of Sallee Hall. If you stay too long you fade into black and white and it takes a while to come back once you leave. We are working on a fix but we haven't answered how it's happening so, look forward to that for the next few months.

Sometimes a student brews a potion that explodes, or someone’s spell backfires and they are purple for a few weeks, or a wrong rune is used that alters the speed of time, or a prophecy foretells the coming of a fell beast who brings about Armageddon… you know, it happens.

On the bright side it's nice and sunny today, well above freezing and whatever they are making for lunch smells great.

A prophecy was spoken in Diviner's Tower during second period. The whole class heard but none after questioning can remember the wording. They say it spoke of dark times and a hopeful rebirth. Maybe they should have written it down.

Students are fully back. Potion Master Graves is ill and something has happened that cleared out the Potion corridor. I suspect the sub has done something.

What a week it has been.

We got back to the Island over the weekend for the start of class yesterday to see that there was only the lightest dusting of snow from the storm that absolutely covered my home. It was just pleasantly wintry outside and the office was lovely and warm. I've thanked all of the Kobolds I seen since.

Back in the office today after a very eventful break. Thank you all for your patience.

Finals week still going strong (half over) something was going on in the morning classes as an odd pink fog settled over the hallways making their way down to the Cave corridors and eventually dissipating. It smelled of peppermint so it wasn't unpleasant.

Had a large group of students sent to see the Head Teacher and it was utter chaos in here for a good 30 mins.

First day of finals half over and i've only heard three explosions.

My goodness people. It's Friday, and the 13th, and the last day of classes before Finals. These kids... are driving me crazy.

With winter break fast approaching so come semester finals. This is a reminder that the library is a quiet study space which is enforced by our Ghost Librarian. She seems to delight in plunging her hand through loud talkers backs as a surprise. It’s not like we can discipline her.
