I'm beginning to think the biggest prank people my age perpetrated on younger people is convincing them the Shawshank Redemption was a good movie. I've heard multiple people say it's their favorite movie. I don't argue but I assume they've only seen four movies.

When we were teenagers, my gal and I had a tremendous fuck session in our too-open punk rock house. I came downstairs in my boxers. Fuckin' steve asked if we were done up there and I said I was but she was still working on it. Fucking Steve.

I'm tempted to start my own hot sauce company but I worked for a small business last year and it was always a surprise when I told them I needed a paycheck. Every single time. I can see myself being that guy.

My knowledge of hot sauce is pretty vast but I still don't get why companies think it's a good idea to talk about buttholes on their packaging. Uncle dan's ass blaster fiery fuck you up sauce or whatever. You're making food, you disgusting fuckers.

I'm finishing up a comic page and I'm really proud of it. It's very simple and no normal person is going to care but I did some things that are pretty good comics-wise.

The movie Short Cuts really breaks me up. It's kind of a good movie but Raymond Carver is such a pacific northwest writer and the movie is such a los angeles movie. Even Julianne Moore's pubes can't save it for me.

My old work crush took some time off before I left. She needed the time to take care of her mom. If you want to get into my heart, take care of your mom. She also had some personality stuff I kinda liked and an ass like a honey bee.

The wolverine (2013) I was always bummed out by the Wolverine-in-japan stuff. Not sure why, other than making it all exotic and magical. From what I gather, Japan is kind of a different world than what I know but hell, so is every other place...

All my high school buddies were pretty hardcore in different ways. A band friend I knew wrote a song about one of my very best friends. It had the line "I can meditate faster than you." It was one of those accurate observations where you say "ooh, dang."

I used to pronounce it "comfterble" I know it wasn't correct but it was one of those words you just say all screwy. My ex girlfriend S- never corrected me but I noticed she said "comfortable" with a degree of elocution and now I think about it every time I say the word.

If I stopped buying products because I don't like a company's politics, I'd never buy anything. Therefore I was like, "let's try this out" Thumbs fucking down dude. This is straight-up thousand island dressing with two spoons of sugar. I can't imagine what this would be good for. It's very bad.

It's monday morning motherfuckers. The goal is to letter these comics and apply for six jobs. I only applied to three jobs all last week and it was a bust so I'm trying to stay in cheerleader mode and chanting "pay... my rent, pay pay my rent!"

Whenever someone tells me some idiosyncratic thing they do, I usually respond "man, that's weird as fuck" it's always meant as a compliment but lots of people don't hear it that way.

Last year, during a time I thought I could afford it, i bought a small tv and game console (I'm not a game guy but i like fallout 4) Today, someone put a tv out by our dumpster and it fucking works! It's like, a normal sized tv but for me it's enormous. I feel like I found money or something.

Room mate and I don't really get along so I don't often have good stories but one time, early on, a dude just walked into our house. I was in the kitchen and room mate was playing with the cat... we both reacted like "hey, how's it going?"

Everyone always says "i see dead people" as a reference to the 6th Sense but I like to say "c'mon I'll show you where my dad keeps his gun" then turn around and, with my hand, make a gesture like the back of my head is blown out. Not many people get what I'm doing but they still kinda chuckle at it

I considered introducing my two barfly friends. They are both loud, obnoxious and flirty. it would immediately turn into a tumultuous drunk romance and that's funny to me. Then I realized I might be the devil.

Steven Wright is still one of my favorites. it's not like he's under rated or whatever but the dude is just fucking funny. "Dennis was a friend of mine, he died breaking a wish bone. No one knows if it was an accident or a suicide. no one knows what he was wishing for."

Anytime I make food, tango sits in a specific spot, waiting for treats. I don't always make tango-food though, so he gets this a lot. He doesn't deserve it. He's the most polite little guy in the world but it's always funny to flip off pets or babies.

Oh cool, they're making video podcasts now. With ad breaks and everything. We used to call that TV. Totally sure I'm not the first person to make that observation but it's gone from a cool DIY sorta egalitarian medium to just more tv.

I used to just shave my head because it's easier but I've had this dumb mohawk kinda thing for a few years and it grows straight-up like a troll doll. Cute girl at work asked me, "does your hair just... do that?"

I don't have my thumbnails anymore but I had an idea for a 22 page superhero comic where the writing seemed like it was translated into a foreign language, then back into english. "I, a woman, blind since birth, has never known the touch of human love." 22 pages of stuff like that.

As a person that has never wanted to make a baby and never has, I have so many thoughts about sex and reproduction. It's maybe one of the few things I could talk about and sound like I'm smart.

I don't own many x-men comics. This absolutely destroyed copy came out when I was 9 years old. Introduction of the poorly named villain, NIMROD and has Rogue absorbing the powers of a bunch of x-men to defeat him.

Alien: Earth s1e3. I have a special relationship with that first movie. I have a whole thing written about it (not quite a book but more than an essay) there's a chapter called "all the other stuff" and I just keep adding to it.

Wolverine origin movie (2009) this is the worst one. In the credits, "firing squad leader" and "carnival guy" are listed in order and I thought that was funny. I have strict code when it comes to a zero thumb movie but this had a couple cool shots at least. 1/4th thumb. I'm being generous though.

During my time away from working an actual job, I'm drawing some and watching bad movies but I live in an apt. complex and there's a real voyeur, Rear Window, type of thing going on as well. No binoculars or murders but I do often ask my cat what he thinks their deal is.

X-men 6 (2016) I don't think it's available where I watch movies but didn't look too hard. I'm not going to rewatch it but I remember it pretty well. Almost entirely terrible. Cool they finally gave storm a mohawk. Still better than 3 and origins wolverine but not by much. 1/2 thumb

X-men 5 (2014) kinda cool way to join all the cast members into one movie. Once again Mystique is a plague on this shit. A poorly written plaything of other characters and not even a very good terrorist. She's played by that girl from hunger games though, so at least they got funding. 1 thumb up

X-Men 4 (2011) new actors, yay. I don't know what actors are good for and I don't care. mystique being such a pivotal character in these movies is annoying. Wolverine cameo was kinda funny but dude probably got paid more than I make in ten years for it. 1 thumb.

X-men 3 (2006) This movie sucks so bad that when something good happens, you're like "oh hey, that part was ok." Halle Berry is very bad in everything but so very pretty. 1/2 thumb because it's hard to make movies and I'm sure some people were working hard. It's a pity half thumb.

X-men 2 (2003) Nightcrawler is the best x-man and Alan Cumming is a good actor but they didn't do much with the guy other than make him a little too religious. The fact this is maybe the best x-men movie is damning with faint praise. 1.5 thumbs up.

I've been rewatching the x-men movies. They're all bad but I was an x-men kid so it's fun to see them and pick apart why they don't work. I'll try not to harp on it too much but doing little movie reviews is the only thing I like about social media.

Terrance Stamp was cool. Rest in peace you creepy fuck. He was in modesty blaise and alien nation and a few other good movies.

I only went surfing twice in my life. First time, I made quick friends with a few guys at long beach and they tried to teach me some stuff. It was fun but I was terrible at it, even though the waves were mild. Second time, I got swallowed by a whale. Surprised there's wi-fi in here.

Birthday is coming up. I always just note that Joann Sfar and Jack Kirby share the same day and I think crumb is the next... it makes me feel good to be in good company but makes me miss Spurgeons birthday shout-outs

Got my last check in the mail. It was a big padded manila envelope through fed ex. Inside was a regular mailer with a stamp on it. Inside that, was a statement of earning and a hand written check for not-very-much money. I don't know how to explain it but that was kinda what the whole job was like

I drew maybe two pages of comics while I had the ice cream job. I'm making up for lost time by doing (not finished, just pencils) a dozen pages in three days but get this... I'm just using that as an excuse to avoid finding another job. Life is always going to be a nightmare.

I've seen every X-men movie except the last deadpool. They are all very bad.

It's difficult to find just plain yogurt at my local store. I think it's because only 4 people want it so they only stock 3. The only one left was 2% fage. Pretty expensive and wildly thick like whipped butter. Not that it's bad, I just usually get the cheaper stuff.

Trying to finish up on my comic about the N. Hollywood shootout. Did a little follow-up research to make sure I'm getting some things right. Just found out psr Guadalupe De La Cruz got named trainer of the year in april. That's cool.

I always equate comics to exercise. But everyone knows exercise is taxing but feels better in the long haul... try explaining that to a non cartoonist and they're just like, "yeah but you're just really into captain america or some shit, right?"

My beloved cat Tango isn't totally blind but he's got some problems and talks a lot. He's really cute if you get to know him. Anyway, we have a few bugs in the house. He knows it is his job to kill them but can't see very well so he just runs around, swiping at ghosts and telling us about it.

Ha ha ha. You know those guys on instagram who cook stupid shit on a rock over fire. I love those guys. They always have a really expensive knife. Ha ha ha.

I have a few instances of people giving me compliments in a funny way but I can't really tell the story without it sounding like a weird brag instead of an observation about my cute friends. Yes, they were all about my dick but that shouldn't matter.

After losing/quitting my job, I've been home for one and a half days. Trying not to take out any frustration on the roommate but he's not making it easy.

I guess twitter or whatever this shit is called, is my way of documenting my thoughts about tv. Never considered myself a tv baby but here we are. My head is full of junk. Sorry.
