Wanted to play the game Pharaoh (1999) on 15 y/o Thinkpad under Linux. But it doesn't support widescreen res by default. The mod for widescreen needed a shader that couldn't compile on the iGPU because it was too old. Claude Opus 4.7 wrote a CPU-compiling shader to insert there instead. IT WORKED

I think there is a delusional spiral happening where all the signs of an incredibly popular and successful technology have been twisted to fit a narrative rather than updating any priors. AI isn’t successful therefore any signs of its success are actually signs of how unsuccessful it is.

Has there ever been a study of how botted / astroturfed anti-AI sentiment is on Bluesky? A lot of it really feels like depp-heard botting. And a lot of the accounts really look and act like bots. They all act like it’s a majority opinion that can’t actually exist anymore.

Just got back from a visit to Best Buy. There was an advertisement for Gemini on the sidewalk. Inside, half of the product signs advertised AI integration. Just a guess, but I don't think this sales focused business is just fronting for VC. Rather, AI is broadly popular and exciting to consumers.

It is very satisfying to use AI to build a tool that helps me block anti-AI zealots more easily. I've blocked a hundred accounts. All handpicked, rather than algorithmically, for egregious behavior on random AI art posts. The tool pushes all of them onto a moderation list in big, juicy batches.

I have a working local app that can be pointed at a moderation list and be given a list of user DIDs, handles, or profile URLs that are then added to the list with some error control for formatting and duplication. It logs in with OAuth so it shouldn't get deprecated along with app passwords.

Does anyone know if there are placeholder bluesky accounts I can use for testing purposes? I am working on a moderation list app and I don't want to spam strangers with the messages.
