You should be testing your apps with different UI scaling. Does your app work at 200% scaling? Are all buttons and fields accessible, or ideally, visible at all times? I can't tell you how many times I've opened an app and had functionality locked offscreen without even a scroll bar to get to it.

This and another study on AI-assisted coding seems to suggest that satisfaction and retention are high, while productivity remains neutral or negative. I wonder if we are optimizing for the wrong thing. Do humans need more productivity? Or do we need lives outside of the creation of capital?

I have been using ChatGPT for image descriptions. I have set up one chat / thread where I stated what style I want and then asked it to create a description inside of an easily copyable code block for pasted in images. Future pasted images are automatically interpreted without instruction.

There is a real argument that AI steals work from traditional artists that I am sympathetic to. I don't believe that applies to the work I am doing. I’m spending hours shaping my own ideas. Hiring someone else can't replace that. It would become a different process producing different work.
