Red is now the color of DANGER to Americans. In 1775, the danger was "Redcoats," for the color of their uniforms. On April 18, 1775 Boston resident Paul Revere and two others rode on horseback from Boston to Concord, MA at night to warn the “minutemen” that the British Army was coming.
