"How do you expect to win back men...?" We don't want those men. They are the hot dogs on the floor of humanity and we still have all these nice prepped hamburger patties if someone would just let them cook.

The movies consistently miss the mark by never coming up with a strong enough counterargument to Magneto's righteous anger.

love my great nation. not the schools though they teach wrong. not the agriculture though the workers are immigrants. not the scientists though they try to trick me. not the great cities though they’re elite. HATE the great cities. not my neighbors though they criticize my nation. I love the banks

The moment where Corenswet leans forward in a chair and smiles perfectly captures the Superman I've seen in my head my entire life. I've found something to like in every SUPERMAN movie (even QUEST FOR PEACE!) but hot damn, this thing's cooking with gas.

One great thing about ANDOR is all the soy Republicans who love to complain about Star Wars being too woke have absolutely nothing to say about this show because it is leagues above their mental pay grade. They do not have the vocabulary to engage with any of the points it makes

I can think of few more effective ways to make America’s wine moms even more willing to hunt MAGAs than they already are than “taking away access to LIBBY online library services”

I was not prepared for the extensive role Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven" plays in the new Hunger Games book.

One of the puppets I use during my pre-k story time program is a possum named Peter and he speaks like Peter Lorre for this very reason.

It is so fucking wild how Marvel just can't get it's act together. DAREDEVIL should be a bo-brainer for them and yet

The target audience for a BLUEY movie will have aged out of needing a BLUEY movie by the time it hits theaters.

Dipping into the WICKED discourse now that the backlash is here to say that while I liked it a lot my 10yo has told me it's her favorite movie and she and her pals have been singing the songs constantly, and if the WICKED movie is supposed to be any more than that then what are we even doing here

If you're going to give your son a lifetime pass but not capable of extending that charity in the form of student loan debt to tens of millions, you are cementing your legacy as a president unwilling to help the working class.

Cynthia Erivo gives a very good performance in Wicked, one that manages both cinematic subtlety and musical theatricality in a way that feels like a fully realized character. (And one that plays nicely off Grande’s more cartoonish turn!) The idea that she’s miscast is…suspect

This is why "Merry Christmas, Please Don't Call" has struck a major chord with the youths. They've been raised on a decade plus of pablum.

Trump is very good at running for president and very bad at actually being president and people being reminded of that en masse is good, actually.

This is one of the dozen reasons I am in no rush to see this one. I'm not paying $60+ to take the wife and kid out just to hear some 28yo nursing student squeal through "Dancing Through Life"

‘Wicked’ Fans Singing in Movie Theaters Are Anything but Popular
Some fans who have attended early screenings of the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical have treated it as a singalong. Not everyone is thrilled.

The kid got HOGWARTS LEGACY for Christmas, so naturally I have been playing HOGWARTS LEGACY. Say what you will about Rowling and the game's desperate attempts to distance itself from here, they perfectly captured what you presume it would feel like to use magic in battle.

Over the past few weeks we've been tearing through the later seasons of DOCTOR WHO (started with Capaldi) to freshen up and enjoy the new specials. My god, the complaints about Chibnall's run were *not* exaggerated one bit.

I have raised my daughter with an emphasis on empathy but I fear I have gone too far. This evening, while watching Chewbacca reunite with his son Lumpy in the STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL, the kid burst into tears. What have I done?
