Tides are so cool

I think I really needed this nature focused vacation to remind myself that no matter what, there is still so much worth fighting for.

So. Many. Lighthouses. 😁 Cape George (historic and protected) Arisaig (newer) For those who might not know, most of them are automated now. But it was a really hard job to be a lighthouse keeper! #sktrip

I made Kyle turn around and park so we could go look at two great blue herons!!! And lots of sandpipers I think. Maybe semipalmated? Couldn't be sure. But it was cool 😄 And then a deer ran in front of the car!! #birding

The one constant thing about this trip is that no matter where we sleep, we wake up to blue jays screaming 😂 #birding

We didn't burn all summer... Two days in Nova Scotia in mid September and we had to go buy sunscreen because we're idiots and brought everything except for that.

We spent most of the morning at Port Bickerton, looking at the old and new lighthouses, and also walking every single trail there. We were glad we had planned for a few hours there, it was beautiful! #sktrip (Stéphanie and Kyle's trip)
