Do read-outs for #organonchip and #2D cell culture differ? They don't! Why? Because the samples we can take from our organ models are very similar. We can look at the supernatants, at the cells during incubation but also extract the tissue afterward for downstream analysis.

Our body is always in motion blood vessels, lungs, intestines. Organ-on-chip applies stretch/strain to cells, influencing behavior via flow or mechanical deformation. This activates the mechanostimulatory complex, a key cellular sensor ignored in standard in vitro tests.

Having to work with mice at university, Anne, our head of team liver, realized quite quickly that this wasn’t the right way for her. Looking for alternatives, that still could deliver comprehensive results, she found #organonchip technology and hasn’t looked back since.
