My smart telescope has a scenery mode in which you can use the wide angle and telephoto lenses to look at stuff during the day, so I went out to see what it could make of this mountain that’s about 30 miles away.

Tonight I was imaging star clusters. This is M35, the “Shoe-Buckle Cluster”. The orangish object below it is NGC 2158, another star cluster that is much further away and much older. #astrophotography
