It was really great having some time off. Despite waking up with a cold, and having to take the 8th grade on a boring (to me) field trip tomorrow, I’m going to enjoy the day by finishing my decorating and watching my city’s Christmas parade on tv. Hope you all have a nice day 🎄

I went to the Rhode Island Comic Con yesterday, my first time going to anything like that, and had such a great time. I fulfilled my childhood dream of meeting Andrew McCarthy, Molly Ringwald told me my glasses were fun, and I found a vhs copy of Garfield’s Thanksgiving. Pretty amazing day!

I realize this will sound kind of silly or whatever, but I have the absolute hardest time making calls and usually have to write down what to say so I stay focused. The call I just made went an entirely different way than I was expecting, and I felt so anxious and dumb trying to get through it 😣

One of those days where I’m not sure if I’m coming down with something, or it’s just my depression getting bad again (spoiler alert, it’s both) 🫥

Thought I heard a knock on the door and it’s making me wonder if my neighbors heard me singing along to Parachute by Hayley Williams about 7 times in a row. I’m just going to sit quietly now and pretend I’m not home

Work already has me feeling overwhelmed. Every day feels like I don’t know what I’m doing, and I don’t feel helpful or useful. I don’t know. It just doesn’t feel the same and people don’t seem as friendly. It might be my last year working here and I really hope it can be a good one

Maintenance is coming by to fix something, and I’ve just been sitting in silence all day, waiting. I know the second I start doing something, they’ll knock on the door. I’m already regretting whatever awkward conversation I try to make, which will undoubtedly haunt me for weeks after.

I’m still holding out hope I get a call offering me a more permanent position at the school I work at. If that doesn’t happen, this will likely be my last year there. I love it and I don’t want to leave, but I’m trying not to think about all that and just enjoy being there for now 😞
