📚💙 I read The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson! Generally an enjoyable read, I like Sanderson's writing style, and the character interactions and the lore were interesting. Still, there were many plot points that fell flat for me and I did not like the ending. ❤️❤️❤️🖤🖤

📚💙 I read King and the Dragonflies by Kacen Callender! An easy read you can finish in a couple of hours. Racism, homophobia and toxic masculinity will always make me sad, and they are explored well through the eyes of a child. Made me teary eyed towards the end. ❤️❤️❤️🖤🖤

📚💙 I read "Muscles & Monsters" by Ashley Bennett! This book is very much written around smut. And if the smut doesn't interest you, there isn't much to grab onto, no side characters, no world building, not even plot. And the smut... was not for me. Someone else might enjoy this tho. ❤️🖤🖤🖤🖤

📚💙 I read "Hungerstone" by Kat Dunn! The start of the book was a bit rocky, but a couple of chapters in the story took off and sucked me in. The writing beautifully captures the MC's thoughts and mental state. You really grow to understad her. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🖤

📚💙 I read "Captive Prince" by CS Pacat! Tame on the spice side. Sex is present and talked about but sometimes it feels like school boys bantering. Writing isn't great but kept me interested. I need to know if and how these two get together in the end, since it's not looking good atm. ❤️❤️🖤🖤🖤

📚💙 I read The Fury of the Gods by John Gwynne! Some major pacing issues in the second half. All those elements didn't need to be there. Still enjoyable and a good read, highly recommend the whole trilogy! The story and the characters are far more forgiving to a certain character than I am. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🖤

📚💙 I read "Animal Farm" by George Orwell! Much easier to read and digest than 1984, but still had many of the same themes. Also does not make you as depressed as the setting is more unrealistic. Still makes you think. Everyone should read this. ❤️❤️❤️🖤🖤

📚💙 I read Murderbot Diaries #3 by Martha Wells! Weakest Murderbot book this far. Didn't grip me like the two earlier books. Feels like a fetch quest you have to do before getting back to the main plot. I hope the next book can pick up the slack. It's fine, I just expected more. ❤️❤️🖤🖤🖤

📚💙 I read "Siege and Storm" by Leigh Bardugo! It is fine. I generally enjoyed this one more than the first book. I'm interested in the world and the story. But the writing is way too married to the MC's mental and romantic issues, which do not interest me. Recommended if you liked the first one✌️

📚💙 I read The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien! What a nice quick read. Eases you in to Tolkien's writing style and the world we all know and love. I'll never turn down a little adventure. I'd choose this over Narnia 10 times out of 10. I recommend👍

📚💙 I read 1984 by George Orwell! I went into this book expecting it to be depressing. It was. I'd like my dystopian fiction to have at least a little spark of hope, but no, none here. Still a good read, even if the writing style got mind-numbing at points. I recommend🐀👍

I've been looking for a new manga to read, so today I started Gachiakuta. And boy I like it very much! I love the style, action feels so alive, all the characters are so expressive and distinctive, the humor is a great fit for me, and the story and the world are interesting! Definitely recommended👍

📚💙 I read Narnia #1 by C.S. Lewis! A dissapointment. I know it's for a young audience but come on. Important scenes completely off-screened. So much telling and little showing. Not a single scene made me even a bit emotional. There are so many better kids' books out there. Not recommended👎

📚💙 I read "Wolfsong" by TJ Klune! What a heartfelt book! The protagonist is relatable and human, I love most of the characters so much. There could have been more worldbuilding, but it isn't the main focus, the main focus is the mc and all his relationships with wolf and human alike. I recommend 👍

📚💙🎃 I read "Coraline" ny Neil Gaiman! I chose this one to read to get into the Halloween mood. It is fine, completely serviceable for the target audience, great kid's horror book. But, rare for me to say, the movie is better. I recommend if you haven't seen the movie ✌️

📚💙 I read "Iron Widow" by Xiran Jay Zhao! Enjoyed this one! Well-written and I love the worldbuilding. Protagonist can get a bit unlikable at times and the relationship evolution was a bit shaky here and there. So many reveals in the end. Can't wait to read the second part! I recommend👍

📚💙 I read Redwall #3 by Brian Jacques! Enjoyed this much more than book #2. Love seeing familiar characters and the amount of new characters is not overwhelming. There are some very similar ideas to book #1, but it was still distinctive enough. Mattimeo did very little in this story. I recommend👍

📚💙 I read "Fated Winds and Promising Seas" by Rose Black! I wished for a cute queer adventure romance. I got like 100 pages of that, then the rest was too much plot crammed into too little space. I see the potential, I just wish this was a trilogy instead of one book. Cannot recommend👎

📚💙 I read "Dracula" by Bram Stoker! It was a bit of a struggle, the writing style of the time doesn't agree with me. I like the story and the central characters. Mina and Quincey my beloveds. I'd love to read a parody of this where the characters can't remember every single word said. I recommend👍

The new Superman is a really good superhero movie. Pleasing visuals, fun villain, entertaining action. It had a lot of heart too, and I liked the protagonist. Been watching a lot of Marvel lately so it was really refreshing to watch a superhero movie that's less cynical and sarcastic. ⭐️5/5⭐️

📚💙 I read "The Godfather" by Mario Puzo! Reading through this book was a breeze, a quick read even for me. Love seeing the mafia cogs turning, love Corleone family. Don't love all of the side characters who get a lot of focus, but they aren't too distracting. I recommend 👍

📚💙 I read "The Shadow of the Gods" by John Gwynne! What a great book, amazing world building and (mostly) interesting characters who I want to see succeed. It also managed to make me emotional, which is rare. Left on a cliff hanger, can't wait to read the next part! Easy recommend 👍

Nothing is worse than hopping on a bus and immediately start wondering if I left the stove on after boiling some eggs. I probably didn't, but the thought will still eat me alive the whole day before I can come home. Curse this damn brain of mine!!

I've been trying to get back into writing. After such a long long break I'm rusty, but slowly I'll get better. I decided to work on an older story idea. I don't feel the obligation to get this one 100% perfect, so I think actually finishing this one is not easy, but attainable.
