Been playing an amazing Japanese-exclusive #Falcom #PSP game, Nayuta: Endless Trails. It's a gorgeous game in the same vein as Ys, with a unique world filled with quests to do and an Animal Crossing like hub town and home you can customize. There's even a cooking system. #retrogaming

I've been playing so many good #DOS racing games lately, I've almost forgotten what it feels like to play a bad one. Fatal Racing feels like a bad Sega Saturn or 3DO game. Wild Arms (1996) is one of my favorite classic console RPGs of all time, a #PS1 #jRPG that slightly predated FFVII with 3D combat sequences, clearly cheaper looking, but more groundbreaking. The score is one of the best of all time, and the opening animated sequence is legend. #retrogaming

Aoi Blink (1990) is perhaps the best #PCEngine HuCard game not to come to America, and certainly one of the most enjoyable platformers on the system. You play three heroes at once (less weird than it sounds) and fight through many stages over a non-linear world map with multiple paths. #retrogaming

Chippoke Ralph no Daibouken (The Adventures of Little Ralph) is a recently translated #PS1 side-scrolling game, one of those retro platformers that feel like SNES+ somehow, with beautiful pixel art backgrounds and animations. Reminds me of Skyblazer or Magic Sword for the #SNES. #retrogaming

The Adventures of Lomax (1996) is a #PS1 side-scrolling, action platforming sequel to Psygnosis' Lemmings, with their usual top tier pixel art. The game is a visual masterpiece, although difficult at times. That's said, it's funny to see your lil' dude explode into confetti upon death. #retrogaming

Back to Stone (2006) is an interesting French Game Boy Advance game that feels like a spiritual successor to Solstice (1990) and Equinox (1993), an isometric action-puzzle game with a junky post-apocalypse sci-fi fantasy vibe. Emerald Dragon for the PC Engine CD has finally been translated. The SNES port had already been, but this is apparently quite different. All of the elements of a great early '90s CD #jRPG are here: voice acting, animated scenes, and an interesting tactical battle system. So cool. #retrogaming
