“When my daughter Ryan was just 5, she had a very bad illness,” April shared. “Her platelet count dropped, and she needed platelets to live. They helped save her life.” Since then, April has donated #platelets an incredible 19 times and doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon!

Our 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat was our biggest one yet — with 212 attendees joining us! We’re so grateful to everyone who joined the fun, from longtime supporters to first-time families. Events like this remind us that behind every donation is a community full of heart.

The third annual Love for Lisa Blood Drive brought the Newark community together once again in memory of Lisa Schmalbach Boyer — an athletic trainer, wife, mother, and friend who touched countless lives before passing away in 2022 due to complications from leukemia.

As #ChildhoodCancerAwareness Month comes to an end, the Rising Sun community showed up in an incredible way for the second annual In Honor of Georgia Callis Blood Drive. Georgia’s mom, Whitney, said it best, “I want to help as many kids as I can, because people have helped us.”
