I am devastated over the tragedy in York County — three police officers killed, two others critically injured, and a community traumatized by violence.   In moments of danger, our law enforcement keep us safe. They deserve to return home safely each night.

Nearly 3,000 lives stolen in a heinous act of terrorism. Thousands wounded. First responders — patriots — who ran toward the dangerous unknown. Families still grieving such unfathomable loss. We remember the tragedy that shook every corner of our nation on September 11. And we will never forget.

I’m praying for Charlie Kirk.   Political violence is never the answer — and we must never tolerate such despicable action. Our nation is better than this.    In such a frightening time, my thoughts are with Mr. Kirk’s family and Utah Valley University who are now forever changed by this horror.

As Montco continues to face a rise in hunger, I was heartened to meet with Meals on Wheels in Pottstown. Their devoted staff and volunteers ensure nourishment, nutrition, and face-to-face wellness checks on our seniors. Thank you for the care and compassion you bring to our communities.

My heart breaks for the more than 20,000 Ukrainian children who remain missing. Their abduction and forced indoctrination are among Russia’s most evil and horrifying crimes. The United States — and the world — must demand their return and bring an end to the suffering.

I am sick with grief for Annunciation Catholic School. Two children murdered at Mass. More than a dozen children wounded. A church-full of others and their families forever traumatized. Innocents met with terror and gunfire, hit with bullets as they prayed. An act of pure evil.

This week, Russia launched a massive and barbaric attack across Ukraine — killing 27 and injuring nearly 100 civilians. As Putin escalates his brutal war, I urge the President to stand firm in support for Ukraine's young democracy. We must see Ukraine win.

We must not turn away from the suffering happening before our eyes in Gaza. Innocents — children and infants — are starving to death. The United States must do more to surge aid into Gaza, to demand a ceasefire, and to secure the return of all hostages living and dead.

15,000 seniors in our district depend on Medicaid for affordable, high-quality care. Trumps' Big Ugly Bill will cut PA’s Medicaid by nearly $53 million over the next decade. The freedom to age with dignity — that’s what Republicans voted to tear away.

Nurses deserve to be safe at work. My Save Healthcare Workers Act would create the first federal law that protects hospital employees from assault and intimidation — and train staff on violence prevention.

A rescissions package is not about new spending — it’s about clawing back funds that Congress has already approved. Why would Republicans surrender our constitutional power of the purse?

To bring American manufacturing home, we must train the next generation. I'm dismayed that the Administration is thoughtlessly eyeing cuts to technical programs that create jobs and spur innovation. We must invest in our workers — not threaten their pathway to good-paying careers.

Gaza is starving. This week, I spoke of the complexity of addressing this scale of malnutrition. It goes beyond food — Gaza needs skilled pediatricians, nutritionists, and other specialists to save innocent people, including children, from starving to death.
