“I no longer rush to respond” is important. I think a LOT of folks are just responding for the sake of responding quickly … and not adding to the actual conversation. It’s why text based convos can be trash with many folks.

The access to people & the need to rush to respond creates anxious attachment. It’s why ppl feel a way that you don’t respond the minute you send that text. It also dilutes the interaction with ppl because we aren’t allowing ourselves time to actually respond in a way that fosters connection

I had to reset my thinking about this. I no longer rush to respond, I respond when I’m available (unless it’s urgent). I no longer pick up to say “I’ll call you back,” if I’m busy, I just don’t pick up. My DND gets turned on earlier and earlier.
