Dougie played up some tonight. Not wanting to go where I wanted him. But we got there in the end.

Lets see if hugging on Dougie tonight will reduce my stress from today's gas shenanigans.

Right Gas leaks update! There was a bad washer at the boiler side that they say would have been the cause of the smell.. they also detected a leak outside on the smart gas meter. They had to get Cadent out to replace.. and its no longer smart, so now we need to get Octopus involved to get that done.

Oh dear. this is not looking good. there is a drop in pressure even with the boiler isolated. They think there's a leak somewhere but where? we could see our gas turned off and an intrusive search if thats the case.. don't know yet but they are checking..

We have someone to look at the gas again. Since the boiler was serviced, there's been a smell of gas in the cupboard so they may have caused it or its revealed an issue due to the service.

Can is booked in Friday. Seems its a 'big job' so they may need it for hours.

So things I need to do. There is a recall on my car! why this wasn't done when it was in for service? oh well. its to refresh the HVAC ECU and check the AC compressor as it could fail into safe mode. Also need to chase Birmingham RoH to see whats happening with roboknee(tm)

Back home after divert for Dougie time.

Well it's that time of the month, so we're down south for Gaming weekend. For once, the M25 behaved.. lets see if it does so tomorrow.

Hmm. Seems our new corporate overlords prefer in office work. Might be fine for dev teams but for prod support? We get more done and don't have to fight for a meeting room to do calls with customers where we are. we also have more work/life balance as well. Do not want change.

Dougie was in a mood tonight. Half cheeky n half speedy. We at least got some good canter at the end.

Well rug has been returned and refunded. I do like our local tack place but I do wish they had more large honse items.. and large honse rider gear too!

Sleep was not great last night. Sigh. Heart was 'loud' last night and woke me up. thing is the rate was normal for me, it was just loud. did eventually settle but bleh horse this morn.

I now need to get a refund on that rug. Oh well.

Good lesson today. Dougie’s new rug doesn’t fit n it’s 7”. But stables had one used once but was spensive. It fits perfect. Bought that for a reduced price.

Done something different today. I test drove a different car brand! Had a quick go in the Kia EV3. Really nice, lots of tech.. its comfy, but doesn't feel as planted as my BZ4x, but its still a very good car.

Lets see... Boring adult stuff happening today ;) Our gas boiler is having its annual service plus, our Google Nest Thermometer/controller is being ripped out and replaced with a Tado thanks to Google never supporting working/functional products.

Could not get canter tonight. But trot was fantastic. A mixed lesson tonight.

Ordered Dougie a new turnout rug with neck(tm) hope a 7” will fit.

Car is back n washed. Passed mot too!

And thats the car dropped off for Service #3 and its first ever MOT. I expect it will be all fine as its only 3 years old this month.

Dougie might had stomped on my right foot while I was leading him back to his field after our lesson. Luckily he only caught one toe, which sore and a little red. its not broken thankfully just very tender.

And we’re back home. The heating has come on since it was 15c inside.

Wedding done. Was really nice. Reception was good too. Squirl n I decided an early night might help so we’re in the hotel just around from the venue. It’s a Hub by premier sin ;)

Long weekend time. Will be heading to London later today, seeing friends and crashing at theirs before family wedding on Saturday. Head back hopefully with enough time to ride on Sunday. Monday the car is in for 1st MOT and 3rd service.

So Squirl has called in Sick from work today. Seems his bug has developed more so. Hope he can clear this before friday..

I have a daft horse! Good lesson as well! He had mud all in his neck n mane too. It’s that season.

Okay, back at work today. Managed sleep last night so hurray! Problem now is Squirl seems to be developing a bug of his own. Sore throat etc. I think thats how the current cold bug doing the rounds starts out.

Yet another crap night so decided not to go in for work. Still had sleep issues due to temp n heart. Thought I was shaking off this reaction.

Urgh. Lousy night. Heart rate was high. Temp was up so I’m reacting to this Covid jab. I feel blegh.

Oh my left shoulder/arm is aching already. Thanks Covid jab ;)

We have a family wedding next week so needed new pants for it. Why is it I fit into 36” Levi’s but a pair of 38” trousers don’t? Had to get 40” n they feel loose. Also my belt buckle snapped! Had to buy a new belt as well.

Now for coffee n a snack.

Well I had to go ‘private’ but I’ve been covid jabbed! Not cheap either but would prefer this over being sick.

Let’s see if I can get Covid jabbed today.

You know, even though I'm grey n old, I still screw up and have to realise that I'm still somewhat selfish deep down. I need to work on that still, much like my riding there's a lot of me that needs improvement!

Dougie was good tonight. Shame about me. Just could not get right canter tonight. Will work on me Sunday. Is annoyed at myself but will work it out.

Just to let you know, we got the net back after 2 hours :)

We've lost all internet at home. Vodafone has dropped off the face of the planet. I'm having to hotspot from my mobile to do my day job. Good Job 3 have not fully been swallowed by Voda or I'd be boned.

Tack shop run done. I now have goo for Doug's. Also got covid shot booked for Saturday morning too.
