Getting better at sketching with my animation class. I do hope I pass this class (seen some people who go through it 3x, but I think most people give up on class 1), but I guess itās okay if I donāt since I do see improvement in my what Iāve learned, so I donāt think Iām hopeless

I think Iāve learned everything about Larry Summers I could so far, but I need to know more about how idiotic & awful he is because I need to confirm my beliefs that people are created stupid and also equal which is why we shouldnāt have god-kings and why I should steward trees, make endless stews,

Drawing of Gregg Turkington by Atom Ellis I saw a couple of days ago. It was really crazy how there was no title or anything, and I just knew it was him. For some reason I posted this on Reddit on a throwaway account too

Once you start thinking of AI as a war on humanity, on human thought, on human inquiry, on human labor, on nuance and critical thinking, it slots in pretty seamlessly with the right wing ideological project, oligarchical political projects, big tech's political projects, etc

Iām trying to eat mostly vegan (after reading about dairy cows, etc), and itās mostly been easy-ish after figuring out a yogurt I liked (Forager yogurt). I would like vegans to be MORE annoying so that I can keep myself on the path, but it feels like vegans are scarcer now and less annoying

Just updating to say that Iām playing McDonaldās Monopoly a lot (thanks to Griffhorse podcast). I ended up spending $$$ though buying a guy a meal (he was going to up to everyone and asking for food), and I forgot to use my account to buy it. I could have had more Monopoly codesā¦

Bluesky definitely could improve, and people are weird and stupid, but I just wanna post bird pics and stuff in a morally neutral-ish place and donāt care to be tethered to any online place anymore. Itās sad and boring that I donāt like being online anymore, but thatās just what itās gonna be

Went to livejournal (which I deactivated a long time ago) and remembered how I used to care so much if someone followed me back or not, and now I donāt really care because Iām Denethor, and I looked into the palantir too much which depressed me

I now have a movie log where I write down the movies I watch, so I donāt write about them here anymore. I liked these movies from July-ish, though: Shifty (Adam Curtis), Eddington, Pee-wee as Himself, and I especially liked Life is Sweet and am excited/scared to watch more Mike Leigh movies

This was really good, and I recommend it. It made me feel better somehow, even if it made me feel like a semi parasocial freak. I saw a really dim light at the end of a really narrow tunnel

Small Hoya rotundiflora is starting to bloom Slight scent, sweet. I donāt normally like a lot of flower scents because theyāre often too strong for me, but this is nice. Itās light and refreshing, and I have to sniff it a lot because I keep thinking I might be imagining the smell

This is a blurry pic of a stick insect that Iāve seen out my window for a couple of weeks. I didnāt realize it was an insect until a few days ago when I noticed a leg. I thought it was dead, but then I saw it later on another stem. now I donāt know where itās gone, but cool to have seen it
