I don’t know where she learned it but my oldest child seems to have gone all in on mindfulness meditation as a way to regulate herself.

The last time my weight started with a 1 I was 15 years old. It’s not much but it’s something.

On Friday night my good friend, Dr. Frank, was ordained in the @unitedchurchcda.bsky.social and became Rev. Dr. Frank! I was deeply honoured to be able to be there to support him! The Moderator was also there which was especially wonderful!

On Friday I was privileged to attend a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2 held by Veterans Affairs Canada. Following the ceremony the CDS and CAFCWO took a few minutes to chat with the army and air cadets in attendance. Both very down to earth leaders!

Sometimes it’s the little things that matter, like @glengower.ca jumping all over @en.ottawa.ca staff to make sure the planed reduction of this 4-way stop to a 2-way stop not only didn’t happen but permanent signs installed in under 2 weeks. Thanks Glen!

Had the distinct honour of marrying my stepbrother to his amazing wife yesterday! Good times were had by all AND my wife and I got our first night away from our kids in just over 5 years.

It’s interesting. I get practically no engagement on this app but the 1-2 things I get are nearly always positive. X gives me tons of engagement but rarely anything positive.

Yesterday was a wonderful day. I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming community to be part of for worship.

Spent nap time today prepping for my pulpit supply tomorrow morning. It’s always an honour to be asked to worship with a community…and the one I’m with tomorrow is one I have a special fondness for.

Little man rocked it with T-Ball this season

I had always planned on eventually converting my BA in Theology to a BTh one day. Then I did a masters degree and figured one day hadn’t come yet. My university no longer awards BTh’s so I guess one day is now never. Oh well.

High school chemistry may not have prepared me to be a scientist but it DID teach me how to use a graduated cylinder. Oddly enough newborn baby bottles are pretty much the same.

My little guy got pretty deregulated. His solution was to head to his cuddle swing to have a rest. He’s been asleep for 30 minutes now. Adults- listen to your kids. They will almost always tell you what they need.

Today has been declared a “nope” day.

I enjoyed a well earned nightcap last night surrounded by mementos of one of the best Prime Ministers we ever had and the best Prime Minister we never had.

See you soon Toronto! You know you fly the same flights often when the airline staff start recognizing you and joking that you’re starting to dress in their uniform colours. Looking forward to another great Porter flight!

My son wanted to be a dragon and my oldest daughter wanted to be a sparkle unicorn for NYE. I made costumes for them so they could rock on!
