Flew my first low wing after years of flying only high wing Cessnas. I learned that (1) glass cockpits are amazing and (2) that dihedral wings screw with my use of them as a horizontal reference check. Need more data but it was definitely fun.

Anyone have tips or tricks that would be helpful to know before transitioning from a high to low wing aircraft? Changing flight schools and moving from Cessnas to Pipers next week. Figured I should get comfortable before I start working on my instrument rating in them.

I’m apparently far enough in my aviation journey to desire buying a plane but not strong enough in that conviction to be able to justify it to my partner. “I can be your air taxi” didn’t cut it.

I unknowingly angered the security gods yesterday by saying I was burned out and my penance was an incident involving a fairly wide compromise of a development AWS account because one dev had slightly too many permissions. All I wanted was a little break from the grind. ☠️
