RAIN! GLORIOUS RAIN! How I miss it! I'll never forget my first day in Portland, OR off the plane and before checking my Air BnB. It was late, near-heavy winds, and raining hard to near small hail. Fucking loved it. Not looking forward to the speeding fuckwads in SoCal while it rains though.

Hoping the upcoming mobile Dissidia game isn't just... ah never mind. It's Square Enix. I hope its fun until the paywall hits.

Welp. I can scratch of Super Mario Bros. 2 (known as The Lost Level in the US via Super Mario All-Stars) off my list. Played this version since this is also how I originally played the trilogy (always ignored TLL). Man this game isn't hard, but well crafted and developed. It's really just reflexes!

When I scroll on IG every once in a while, I see a video of men getting their nose all gel'd up inside likely to wax out their nose hair. Is that new or something? I just pluck out my noise hairs. You kinda need the rest in there, like ear hair, to do their work.

Did a head count. 110 games. I have completed 36. 11 remaining are fighting games 19 games are jRPGs (18 because I doubt I'll play Pokemon Stadium 2- ever). Which means I have 34 action/adventure/platformer/misc/shooter/puzzle games left. Honestly. If I can get 20 more games, I'll be happy.

AAA games at its finest. Don't get me wrong, I understand that NPCs will always remain like this, but holy shit did I get a bombastic chuckle out of this.

This game (King of the Monsters 2) cheats so hard that if you decide to cheat back (turbo button pressing)*, you'll still lose! Ai can also instant recover as well and baits you for easy grab wins*. I found two "strats", but you have to be frame-perfect or guess right. Part 1 is fair compared to 2.

I wonder what my art would look like if I swapped all the time I spent doodling / drawing with learning complex combos, platform jumps, speed-strats, honing reflex, and surviving a whole arcade game with 1 quarter. I'm genuinely curious. I just want to see what my art would look like.

Finished Spider-Man: Miles Morales. I think by the time I got the... third collectable thing I realized that this game is a tiny, DLC story with a collect-a-thon attached. Or maybe it's vice versa? Game's just more of the first, but not by a lot. Altered combat. But more to do. S'fine game.

I can really feel the exaggerated swagger of a black teen playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales! Anyway- I began to play this to get it off my part 2 list and make space for Monster Hunter Wilds, but I forgot how much fun it is to play this game. I guess I'll delete something else like Borderlands 2.

Just finished Bushido Blade 2 as part of my year of part 2s. Dunno if I like it more than the first. The first had more nuance since you had more buttons to press to control the character, but 2 simplified it a bit more. Also in 1, you could run across all the stages which was pretty neat.

Hah. Me. I corrupted/bricked a device and the rest of my evening went to finding how to fix it / finding the original firmware. Reminds me of the good ol days back when I used to mess around with stuff. Anyway. Got it working again, but back to square 1. Luckily all my save-files were backed-up.

Well- didn't expect to play and complete this game at all, but I just started to play it and I got hooked! Same thing happened with Gargoyles Quest I and II. This game is something special. I can see it becoming a MetroidVania game, but GQ is like a pseudo adventure game (think TLoZ). I recommend!

I find myself playing both Theatrhythm: Curtain Call and Theatrhtyhm: Final Bar Line on and off since I really like using the touch controls for CC, but FBL really has you working your thumbs off for them buttons. Too bad the content is different in both, but it's all about the music in the end.

Oh right. Also no streaming tonight. I completely forgot how loud it gets at night because of crickets. I hate crickets, man. Why can't the birds that wake me up at 5am eat these buggos >x( List of things that greatly annoy me: Mosquitos/Gnats > Crickets > Birds. Ravens, Crows, & Pidgeons exempt.

Mole Mania is a lot more fun than I thought it'd be. Been playing the fan-hack that DX'd the game just to record some footage for my emulation front-ends and I ended up playing more than I should've. Man I miss these type of puzzle games.

I'm watching the first Brooks film I find utterly boring and weakest humor. Dracula, Dead and Loving It. I should like it because it's Dracula, Brooks, and Nielsen. Yet, the writing is so lazy. And the jokes are so bare minimum. Only run on gag I like so far is the enema one.

Looks like streaming's back on the menu. Only in the mornings and nights though. Which isn't a bad thing, but evening's where it's at for me. Anyway. Now that I've finished Breath of Fire III, I do have room for another game to play and I think I'll use that to stream / continue Secret of Mana.

Emulation is such a wonderful thing. The normal, native, internal resolution leaves a lot to the imagination, but the information is there! At 2x, you can see all the details lost on the original native resolution just by giving just enough power to see the model in detail. And this is a DS game!

I can finally scratch this game off my list. Almost took 20 years- hah! Used to borrow/trade #BreathofFireIII with a friend on and off, but I could never get far as a kid. Started playing it again in '17, but dropped it for some reason. Picked it back up again and finished it. Capcom AF game lol

Breath of Fire III is definitely a product of its time. Capcom did a lot of crazy shit with it in terms of playing the game outside of the game's combat. The world map is linear, so there's backtracking. A lot of backtracking. But there aren't random battles in the overworld. It's kind of a mess.

I was pretty hesitant with FFT: Ivalice Chronicles because SqueEnix isn't really good with remasters on launch. And a lot of the QoL stuff is nice, but I've been emulating stuff for decades now. A lot of it just seems like voice acting and a new UI to me.

I mean no offense (but it will sound like it anyway) when I say that I parallel bronies (and their culture) to emoji users and meme-rot'd brains. I'd throw web in there, but that's another beast. I've seen y'all manifest as the internet became accessible thanks to AoL/Yahoo and MySpace per'se.

I find it amusing that people are surprised that other people can comment on posts that are about their thoughts on a subject or idea on this platform. They believe that strictly their followers should interact. Which is a slippery slope to hive-mind and brown-nosing activities.

This fucking moment, man. Gets me every time. It's not just Aang going through it, but also the culmination of Katara's empathy in addition to having to keep everyone else alive in the desert on top of the thin line of survival they tread. Friendship, trust, & despair in such a small scene. #Tlab

I find it amusing how #xenobladechronicles gameplay/combat is stifled because of the Monado. Kind of reminds me of #FinalFantasyXIII and it's exploration design is hindered because of its narrative (X did it first, but XIII carries the stigma).

Admittedly, there are some new additions to the part 2 list, but those were added -this- year (Sonic 2, //Mutation, G.Sun 2, etc.), so I wouldn't really put them there just yet. Not done with Secret of Mana, but finish or not, I've tried multiple times with that game. Year's not over yet, though.

This is one of the oddest interpretations of my character's name. Normally I don't censor names, but the XIV community is hyper sensitive and the last thing I want are delulu players who need to touch grass going at me with their youth (god I hope they're young). Re-reading The Handmaid's Tale and it's still just okay. FWIW, I understand the nuances and importance. I'm just speaking on a general basis. Anyway- when compared to the TV show, it's fathoms better. Only two episodes in the show (to give it a chance) and man is it just... gross.

Working hard or hardly working? Just some more #candid #streetphotography that I enjoy for one reason or another. The one with the BMX athletes is my favorite of the four mostly because the camera and lens I had in addition to the lighting, crowd, and movement made me feel accomplished w/ the shot.

I really do like looking up one song on Youtube over using another streaming service like Spotify. I really do enjoying reading people's comments from whatever language. It's almost like audience participation. People sharing their memories and emotions evoked through a song is kind of human to me.

Alright. I've officially trimmed and had fun messing with transitions and hard cuts as much as I could with this old, old 2017 #Bloodborne boss montage of a stream I did. All that's left is to add music and sound effects since I don't really express energy when I stream (I find it fake to do so).

Finally finished #Earthbound for the first time. I've always understood it, but now that I played it, it's like I don't need glasses to see it now. I'm glad I played it. I have a weakness for it, but when it's up to children to save the world... Those four were just kids, man.

I'm finally giving #Earthbound one more go because it's part of my "year of part 2s" thing I'm doing. It turns out, when my file got corrupted in the early emulation days, I was nearly done with the game! I distinctly remember being so tiny on the world map. I looked into it & that was the 90% mark.

The use of LatinX is so dumb, man. It's really hilarious. It's the equivalent of the imperial and metric system. A compromise between "anti-colonizers" and "white guilt" with the idea that they're leading the future within a small group of "PC intellectuals". The hubris behind the intent lol.

You know what's wild? There are couples/relationships out there that are amongst of the happiest and most fulfilled. The caveat? They're probably such amazing cheaters that neither of them know. 100% do not know and are immune to guilt. And if it was a show, people would lionize it.
