it was not on accident that it took this long to solidify their ToS and the "we accept feedback" posturing was also tactical. once again, nsfw art idiots were used to bolster user numbers. we've been through this before. this is no surprise.

with this, the last false promise of this place has been debunked. there are bots, politics, algorithm and twitter loonies here. not that i believed any of this when coming here but now it's out in the open.

first i had to leave places and groups i felt comfortable in and been part of for years, now this. just the thoughts and feelings of a random, nobody internet artist, trying to build something to be proud of.

i'm a little nervous posting this but also weirdly calm. trying not to offend anyone while making the art i want to make is very exhausting. "it's just a drawing" has different meaning to different people, on different days of the week. anyways, pretty happy with this so far.

while i've been greatly enjoying making this stuff, it oddly feels like i'm procrastinating. thumbnails, writing and designing shit is fun but it won't have much value until it all comes together. perhaps stalling is a more accurate way to describe it.

anyways, been making slow and steady progress on this mammoth project. it's all still very rough and early but it is what it is and it is not what it is not but maybe can be some day perhaps, possibly.

whenever i ask this to people (who i think should have the answer, due to them presenting themselves as authority) i get ignored. so, i'm going to blast you guys with it; how does one fact check an AI, on a topic one knows nothing about?

i take a lot of issue with the conversation around the importance of silhouette in design. often popular designs are shown to illustrate a very (narrow) point. there is also a complete disregard to how camera angles and actions change any carefully designed silhouette.

in order to solve a problem, it must first be properly understood. solving the "ipad kid" issue, is the one-size-fits-all solution to almost all of the ongoing chicanery on the internet. but it's an uncomfortable thing to address and easier to make it everyone else's problem.

as we are currently fighting for the right of artistic expression, i'm wondering, where do we draw the line? what is and what isn't allowed to be expressed/explored? at what point do we turn into exactly the people we currently oppose? asking or a friend, who exists (probably).

no title yet only an idea for a cover. re-wrote my script 3 times and now started the 1st thumbnail draft. one big hurdle to overcome will be designing all the characters. i know fuck all about design and just go with what i find fun or exciting.

a big mistake i made in previous works was that my preparation were not as good. i thought things would work out as they progress but much of it could have been either rushing and even laziness.

"just draw whatever you want" is a phrase i'm not too fond of. it may be well-intentioned but artists lost their reputation, their careers and even their lives, drawing what they felt like. it's a potential monkey's paw. but that's just my opinion. :)

how does bsky conclude that these interests have anything to do with me, wanting to see diaper fetish art or photos of adults wearing them? it keeps recommending me that shit in the discovery feed and i keep clicking not interested or whatever. and that's AFTER all the fucking politics.

so far, it took about an hour of mindless scrolling through the "discover" feed and hitting "show less like this :(" on every political post and "show more like this :)" on art, before it even began to resemble a feed that may interest me. and it's still full of politics.
