just to iterate, i don't "hate" these. could they be better? sure. could i have made them better at the time? no, i could not have. never been an artist who shits on and mocks his older stuff.

don't think i've ever posted this in its entirety. i consider this project a successful failure that taught me a lot.

can't tell if people are being hysteric or not about these new changes to this platform. seems like the initial euphoria has completely 180ed to what it was a year ago with some even feeling... betrayed? by a social media platform that was build on crypto and genAI? but maybe i misunderstand.

if you tend to be overly critical with your art, even to the point of anger, consider this; has self flagellation ever helped improve things? it didn't for me and so i stopped that behavior. it gets in the way of drawing and you know what makes someone improve at drawing?

being a nsfw artist is the equivalent to running around with your pants down and your junk on full display. broadcasting whatever vanilla/kinky shit gets you off or what you're willing to put up with. such a noble artistic endeavor.

while i'm not very good at keeping characters on model, the measurement method i use, is solid enough. it's not without downsides, however. i have trouble with figures that go past the picture frame and closeups. often times it feels more comfortable to draw the whole figure.

i'm reluctant to applaud such takes because, do they mean what i think they mean? lots of people seemingly take a more open stance on taboo art but crumble under some scrutiny. some say "it's just a drawing" only whenever it suits them. i would like to believe that this is sincere though.

it's difficult to take people serious who talk about efficiency in drawing digitally, when so many still use ctrl+z to undo. bind that shit to a single key, add a redo and quickswap to eraser key while at it. kthx.

something about peaking pubic hair makes it feel more exposed, even though both show the same amount of skin. it feels more raunchy and perhaps more imminent? like, this tiny piece of fabric is just about able to prevent a catastrophe. (i tend to overintellectualize porn)

art tip #3892 (i don't give tips or advice) if you want to draw every day but can't find the motivation, start a long form project. ANYTHING will do. comic, animation, etc. when you're lacking the necessary skill set, then this project becomes your roadmap.

form shadows aren't hugely impactful like, say, cast shadows but things can feel incomplete without them. i think they can be treated as their own entity, regardless of light direction. (drew this random form to show its effect)

seeing porn artists post about people dying, then post art, then back to politics, then promote their patreon and so on, in the span of 10 minutes will never not be insane to me. there are more tasteful opportunities to capitalize on an attention cycle but you do you.
