The "Wall of Presidents" which Trump set up specifically to try to disparage Biden and Obama (and every president of whom he is jealous) needs to have this mounted by the next administration.

Far too many people excuse Trump's boorishness as "Trump being Trump" as if his personality was benign and not malignantly toxic. He and his enablers are striving to divide us and our polarization is largely a product of a few decades of demonization which culminated into Trump and his followers.

1-Beginning in 2027 under a Democratic Party regime Congress needs to reassert itself as the avatar of the American People as the founders envisioned. The "unitary executive" idea is a canard created by the oligarchs who want to rule the country using a stooge(Trump).

When the next Democratic administration takes charge (2029 🙏) one of the first bills to be proposed will be a law to assert the responsibility of Congress to remove members of Congressionally defined independent agencies. Those agencies can not be a part if the Executive Branch.

As always I tend to see the better side of some attempts by Democrats to negotiate with Republicans. They want to get to "yes" but their opponents give lip service to "yes". Government employees may get their jobs and salaries back and SNAP continued but I do not expect the GOP to fund the ACA.

1-Now that our Federal Government has relinquished its responsibility toward the poor our churches need to step up to the plate.

Some thoughts for a Sunday afternoon. We must focus upon our collective future; ourselves, our families, our communities, and our country. We need not try to restore our past, filled as it was with both grace and flaw, but we must look to the future like a child being born.

We can not read this poem without resolving to correct the errors of our government and restore the trust of the people for those who represent us.

The way history is revealing itself concerning Trump and his cabal of miscreants the US needs to consider joining the ICJ at The Hague. Only an international body can bring Trump to justice since our Supreme Court appears compromised and does not want Trump held to account.

Remember when President Biden in his valedictory address to the nation lauded the "keeper of the flame" referring to the individual responsible for the torch on the Statue of Liberty. We are the flame - the fire we light when the world says our democracy is done.

These are extremely wise words from one of our greatest presidents. He quotes Martin Luther King and reminds us all that justice will be realized as we work to insure through our own efforts that we bend the arc of the moral universe.

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Except it doesn’t bend on its own—it bends because we pull it in the direction of justice. What keeps me hopeful during times like these is being surrounded by people who are doing just that.

The 'sleeping giant' is our awareness as a people who now see we have a common foe. It is the billionaire class which wants to control not just the economy but our government as well. The hubris of those who feel privileged inexorably wanes when those they oppress refuse to take it any longer.

A question we can all ponder. Why when a conservative, or someone on that end of the spectrum, says something negative about progressives that tribe calls it candor while the rest of us see it as vitriol.

Trump's cabinet has lawyers who refuse to follow the law, medical researchers who disparage science, climate change deniers who control sources of energy - promoting fossil fuels over renewables, an education department which disparages education, among other cabinet level misfits.

If you're a reporter, please stop referring to RFK Jr and his cronies as "vaccine skeptics." They're not skeptical. Skepticism would be fine. Skeptics look at evidence and can be persuaded. These people are extremist anti-vaccine cranks, and that's how news organizations should describe them.

It is heartening to see a Democratic governor counter punching the regime. Hopefully he'll inspire more of the same among our representatives in Congress and in all the Blue states.
