My next door neighbor lives in the oldest house on our road. It was built in 1773. We founded this country three years later on principals and ideals that feel all but dead now. Wild to think that house might outlive this experiment in democracy.

Found three year old lilac bushes for 15$ each… The ditch between my house and the road is about to get a makeover!!!

Doing some garden/yard work yesterday and found a little patch of wild strawberries the deer hadn’t gotten to yet. The kids were so excited!! Lots of work picking, for such a tiny reward, but what a sweet surprise!!

The remodel is going well. Just bought a 72 inch double sink bathroom vanity for $80!!! It’s brand new!!!! The only thing Meta is good for? Market place! Annoying I had to make a FB to use it… but I also got an antique claw foot tub in really good condition for $200!

Less than 24 hours after planting our butterfly garden, we reap the rewards!!! My son said, our very first butterfly, exciting!!!!

Bought some sunflowers, snap dragons, a few flowering bushes, and some sweet red pepper plants…. My four year old son wanted a butterfly garden, so we obliged. Tomorrow we will transplant some milkweed from the back field.
