When early AI gen started being a thing, I actually wasn't fully against ethical datasets...But the attitudes of the companies creating this tech & the disgusting behaviour of their target audience/users proved to me. That it would always be destructive. I hope this entire industry dies.

Skeksis head all sculpted up :) MmmMmmm! I based it heavily off my fave guy Skeksil, but with some stylistic differences of course. As I wanted this to be a sksksis "hatchling" art doll (yes yes, not cannon. But fun!) He will have fluffy white down for a body, similar to that of a vulture chick!

I am always amused when people point out my work reminds them of The Dark Crystal (indeed it is my fave Movie ever made!) SO, I am working on a little something special :) WIP

Well that's disappointing. Tomb Raider is a long time fave of mine from it's first release. But this interview clearly shows that they do use generative AI in it's concept stage, and he's been coached in what to say to avoid backlash. I won't be touching it :/

Exactly. I wish we would move past this tired subject, & stop beating down on those using legitimate forms of working that is as old as the dawn of humanity creating art. And focus on actual issues that matter in our community. Such as tracing copyrighted works, AI exploitation, and real art theft.

I loved movies from before I was born when I was little. Most of my film tastes today branch back from the 40's - 70's (Disney & Don bluth films, little women, The Dark crystal, The Labyrinth, Legend, Watership down, Planet of the apes, Wizard of Oz ect. Kids absolutely can appreciate older film!

Like sure the designs were a bit basic (but really nice imo). & the story was simple? But it was nowhere near as bad as I was lead to believe! I rather enjoyed it. It was cute! :)

Just a heads up re: Commissions. I am currently in the process of working through all my remaining work to be done. After these are clear, I will not be taking on -any- new commission work until next year, unless absolutely needed. I wish to reset and breath this year & focus on personal work.

I wish carousel would die in the past where it belongs. And I wish coders/owners of these sites would just listen to artists who have to navigate social media's bullshit every year to survive. Its freaking exhausting having to navigate today's internet and the idiots that shape it. I'm tired man.

I think I have decided, since I had to cancel one of my biggest events for commission work. Apart from the odd one here and there. I will be taking a break from commissions this year into next. EXACTLY. It's just making emulating and faking artists works 100% easier for people on a commercial scale. Not only is this bad for Artists themselves to jump into ethically. It's giving "bad actors" a very easy and accessible means to do it via the Adobe product. Its bullshit on all fronts.

If you willingly use this. You have to be one of the dumbest shits alive. This company is no friend to artists. Its become a AI shill, nothing more. (How long till workplaces abuse this by feeding off the work done in house, then fireing staff to "cut costs"?) My guess is not long.

One of my fave finds today in Tokyo (which I was looking for) while travelling. Was The Japanese editions of Wings of fire! I wanted them especially as the illustrations were created by a wonderful artist I follow, @gomalemo.bsky.social . The internal illustrations per book are so beautiful too!

I love that a person who commissioned a icon from me once, said "thanks" on delivery. Didn't tell me they disliked it till ages later (by posting everywhere that I am terrible.) Has now added me to a blacklist here. Ive never understood this behaviour, it feels like boarderline harassment <_>
