Definately a interesting topic. I have none of these safety nets, and if I say, earn 90k in a good year. Almost half of that goes to tax stuff. And a insane chunk of that goes to supplies, & costs of getting to events...Actual earning can be as low or lower than 30-40k a year before living expenses.

Every time I see kids drawing, or young artists posting their handmade work & progress . I feel SO relieved. Out of us, they are the ones being force-fed garbage & quick lazy "solutions" (AIgen ect) the most...And yet, here they are, choosing to be genuine. Its wonderful to see, you are all amazing.

So excited about the Hybrid Prince reveal. Mudwings have always been my favorite out of the series, so awesome to see Umber will be heading the first book of this series <3 I am ITCHING to draw my own interpretation of these two already. But I will have to wait till my current event run is over ;0;

The fact you can't just...look at a feed of the people you are actually watching on Instagram, on desktop. Absolutely destroys my will to even look. It's such a poor design, cause what's the point? I don't care about 90% of the crap it suggests. I follow people I follow... for a reason??

I am glad more people are discussing this. As a full time convention artist, this shit drives me up the wall. ESPECIALLY when it creeps into actual artist alley's and makers spaces. It not only devalues the true art around them, but creates mundane experiences for attendees that may not come again.
