Trying out the Ghostty terminal again after an update on Arch, some good improvements everywhere. The main thing it is still missing is a scrollbar but I'm going to try getting by with a keybinding to move forwards and backwards between prompts. ghostty.org

Accidentally foot-gunned myself with an erroneous ValidatingAdmissionPolicy to prevent Argo CD Apps from being created in the Argo CD namespace but it actually prevented updates to all Apps cluster wide. I was scratching my head for a bit wondering why my Apps weren't being updated, oopsie me bad.

Will be interesting to see what gets announced for tariffs today and the world reaction to it. One under-appreciated aspect IMHO is the slight possibility of the world isolating the US and moving on from the dollar as the global currency to the euro or the Chinese yuan (hopefully not).

Used an MMI box to add Android Auto to my 2021 BMW and really impressed with how well it works. Very responsive and it's easy to switch between the MMI box and iDrive by holding the menu button for three seconds. Thanks Red Hat for the Reward Zone points that enabled me to get the box for free.

Having fun building out a small POC Argo CD extension to integrate OpenShift Lightspeed with the Argo CD UI. Not sure anything will come from it but it's been good to work on my limited typescript/react skills.

Did a 5 AM call this morning with a customer in Europe doing an intro to GitOps along with some recommended practices. Timezone wise being on the Best (West) Coast is sometimes a challenge but I wouldn't change it for anything, absolutely no regrets moving out here from Toronto 5 years ago.

By all means include a conditions block but for the sake of my sanity please also provide a single overall status and message field. Reverse engineering complex condition blocks is no fun

Canada's medical system is great when needing critical care without bankrupting you. The downside is with "chronic but not going to kill you" things are having to wait. Got a referral to an ENT a few weeks ago and will probably have to wait a couple more months to get in.
